Basic hotel on a retail park on outskirts of clacton, staff friendly but very basic for the price, stained mattress, water going down very slowly in sink, nice and quiet and plenty of food options nearby.

States on site that towels are provided but had a room of to adults and one towel supplied. No small towels or bath mat , they provide tea and coffee making but have to have asbestos fingers as nothing to stir or get teabag out .

The "accessable" shower seat did not come down at all, neither did the handle next to it. Other than that, there were no issues, clean room, friendly staff.

Just what you'd expect for the money
Spacious room, king size bed, pub next door or McDonald's if you prefer. Basic furnishings, as you would expect given the price. Bath with shower over rather than walk-in shower. Peaceful, but take your earplugs if you don't want to experience the whooshes and gurgles from the plumbing system every time someone flushes a loo.

We have family in the area and have been using this hotel for our visits annually for a while now. The hotel is very well located, has good amenities around it (Lidl, Pub, M&S Food, Mcdonalds all with 2 minute walk) and parking is plentiful. Staff are excellent and always very pleasant. Nice comfortable room. Easy free parking. Have stayed here previously and will definitely stay again. Me and another guest checking in at the same time both had issues with our bookings. The payments from Hotel.com had not been received by the hotel but fortunately we both had proof of payment. Although this was stressful, the situation was resolved by the lovely female receptionist (sorry I didn’t get her name) and the online assistant Richard from Hotel.com.

It was really good for the price we paid very clean beds comfy however hot taps don't run hot at all so disappointed in this as couldn't have a hot bath without boiling the kettle
