Great architecture, small boutique hotel with really great rooms and great staff. Impressive breakfast included. Great service with little treats brought to the room daily. We had six rooms and everyone felt the hotel was a highlight of our trip.
Our stay was amazing from start to finish. The hotel is beautiful and the staff were so helpful. The beds are huge and really comfortable. After the first night the reception staff told us that there had been a problem with our shower and they were upgrading us to a better room. Result! The rooftop bar is amazing (try and pre book a sofa as it gets busy). Also make sure to visit the spa area - there is a swimming pool / sauna/ steam room/ jacuzzi which was so much fun and gave us something to do when it rained one morning. Also loved the chocolate delivery which seems to happen around 5pm! A lovely touch. Overall could not have asked for anything better!
the hotel and it's location are great, the employees are very good, but the walls are paper thin, you hear any conversation above normal speech level, especially if the next door neighbor happens to sing a lot at any time of night.
"Position can't be bettered for city sightseeing."
This hotel is very conveniently placed for buses and underground. It is in the centre of things, on the Rambla, near the Liceu Opera House and Catalunya.
We requested a change of room to the back because of Rambla traffic noise and the staff could not have been more helpful.
hotel and staff were outstanding. We arrived early and the hotel did everything they could to get our room ready in half an hour. We were given complimentary drinks on the roof top bar whilst we waited and the concierge brought our room key to the bar and our luggage had been taken to our room. We were celebrating my husbands birthday on the trip and the member of staff who checked us in, had the best customer service skills I have encountered. I can't believe I don't remember his name as I would have liked to mention it on the post. We got our room upgraded, complimentary breakfast, cava in the room the following day and in the bar later that night my husband got a cake with a candle in it.
The background music in the hotel along with the dj on Friday and sat, just took the visit to a new level for us- outstanding. The food was exceptional and all staff in the hotel couldn't do enough to help. We plan to visit Barcelona again and this hotel will be our first choice every time
Barcelona's Old Town, the Ciutat Vella takes in the Barri Gòtic and the world-famous promenade of Las Ramblas. The former is the city's medieval core, a maze of atmospheric alleyways clustered around the splendid Gothic Cathedral. Quirky specialist shops and characterful bars and eateries abound. Don't miss the Museu Picasso and the Museu d'Història de la Ciutat, as much for their palatial settings as their content.
