Access to beaches and services within few kilometers. Wilderness and high comfort, the best of both worlds! A unique coastal living experience in harmony with nature. You will be mesmerized by the majestic Pacific oceanfront view, the spectacular sunsets, biodiversity and the endless ribbons of many beaches at 5 min. drive. It is a privilege to be a part of such grace and beauty. Just before sunset, having a fresh drink on the terrace, you will religiously watch for the Green flash, and of course wish that time could be suspended, like a perezoso on a branch, for ever. We assure your hospitality with our House Manager who will take care of you during your stay. English, French and Spanish spoken. Upon arrival in Ojochal, please consult our House Manager for tips and activities planning. Most of the attractions are within easy access. We firmly suggest a 4 wheels drive vehicle. The property is nested on top of a hill, 450 feet above the sea level. It is a 5 min. drive up from the Costanera Highway #34\. Very private, the villa is surrounded by 1 hectare of tropical forest with breathtaking oceanfront and mountain views. You will enjoy observing directly from the villa the jungle wildlife (Scarlet Macaw parrots, Toucans, White Faced monkeys, agouti.) In the past 8 years, we have planted an orchard of bananas, citrus, papayas, pineapples, ginger, cacao, herbs. Fresh fruits all year. A small path is directing down to a rancho from where you can observe nature and have picnics. The villa modern Mediterranean influence is offering a 280 sq mt/3,000 sq ft living space, indoor/outdoor architectural concept. (See photos). Open plan kitchen, spacious dining and living areas facing the ocean. Cathedral ceilings with fans maintaining cool sea breeze. The villa features 2 large bedrooms with oceanfront view, French doors opening onto wraparound terraces connecting to the infinity pool. Each master bedroom (Queen size bed) has its connecting bathroom, closet space, ceiling fan and air conditioning. We barely use AC, just 15 minutes suffice to cool down the room temperature. The villa also consists of an office working space. Internet and Wi-Fi connections provided. Patiently, we are awaiting fiber optic service to ensure the consistency of Internet. Infinity pool (3m Large X 8m Length/Depth 1.20m to 1.52m). Absolutely needs parental guidance for children. Connecting to the villa, there is an other rancho overlooking the ocean. A relaxing area offering an outdoor kitchen area with charcoal BBQ. Secure house with gates, safe parking lot, alarm system, safety boxes. Rates are including weekly cleaning service, electricity fees, pool maintenance, hosting arrangements. How to get to Ojochal? By vehicle: Though roads are very accessible, a 4X4 vehicle is highly recommended. It takes approximately 3 hours' drive from Juan Santamaria Int. Airport San Jose to Ojochal. (Very good road conditions. Astonishing landscaping. Remember that sunset is around 6 P.M.) Domestic flights: You have to verify the flight schedules. It changes according to seasons. Daily 35 minutes domestic flights from Juan Santamaria Int. Airport San Jose to Palmar Sur or Quepos (consult Sansa Airline and Nature Air for flight schedules and rates). Located 1KM from main Coastal Road La Costanera #34 makes it easy to reach Isla Garza, Playa Tortuga. Visit the Turtle Conservation Projects. Astonishing beaches all along the coast. Best we’ve ever had. If you are looking for a peaceful stay with a lot of wildlife around you, this is the place. Also the house comes with all the amenities you can think of and had more equipment than our own house. Very good communication with the host and the local point of contact, Patrick. This house surpassed all of our expectations. The location is superb. We saw capuchin monkeys, toucans and other Costa Rican wildlife from our infinity pool looking out over the ocean. This was our first time in Costa Rica and this Villa was a great homebase to explore the country. My wife and daughter enjoyed the property, and the pool was wonderful on the hot afternoons. I enjoyed the outdoor cooking area. Philippe (House Manager) was a tremendous help, a wealth of knowledge and took care of any of our needs. Thanks again my friend ! This property was THE best place we have ever stayed before. The home is so beautiful. Watching the sunset every evening from the infinity pool was breathtaking. Seeing the monkeys and toucans right there daily plus watching the macaws and parakeets fly by each evening was so cool. I wanted to give my wife a fully relaxing time away from her stressful job and this was completely on point. Many beaches and nature trails to explore nearby (the one on the property was breathtaking on its own!), nearby roadside restaurants with amazing food, grocery stores near by...the list is endless. And to top it off the best property manager, Phillipe, to answer all our questions and help schedule the best tours. It was definitely very hard to leave. HIGHLY recommend! ##### Brian B. We are two parents with our two kids ages 19 and 21 and they each had a friend. The house worked perfectly for that kind of a group. We as parents had a ton of privacy with a master suite and our own patio. The shared space was massive and impressive and the view...it is completely amazing and breathtaking. The house had everything a cook could want and we loved dinners there. We went on a few day excursions to Corcovado National Park (from Uvita using Bahia Adventures) and snorkeling at Cano Island with Sierpe Outfitters). Both great but we can very highly recommend Simone from Sierpe Outfitters. She was tremendous and had a lot of local knowledge. Finally, our house manager, Phillipe, was gracious and kind and very attentive. He is an expert at making you feel right at home and his attention to detail is great. We saw tucans and Monkeys around the house. Property is gated and the drive up from the main road isn't too bad. Would recommend staying here for sure. There are two things to be aware of and the first would be resolved I would assume sometime in the near future. First, internet was a hotspot that didn't work for us we needed internet connection to check in on work and personal matters. Host said this was a temporary issue for the time being. Second, there is no AC in the main living area only in the two rooms. Host said to keep back and front doors open for a breeze but we didn't feel comfortable with letting bugs in. Our family of 6 had the most wonderful vacation at this home! It was located perfectly for enjoying the breathtaking views and jungle wildlife. The house, property, pool, and view are amazing. The location of the house was perfect for us. You’re a short drive to nice beaches, waterfalls, and restaurants, but you also have a ton of privacy and can’t see any neighbors. Both ended up being perfect for us. We loved all of the nearby adventures--recommended to us by House Manager Philipe, who is fantastic--and we also loved coming from those adventures to the villa to swim or just watch nature. Howler monkeys, whiteface monkeys, and toucans were all observable on the jungle side, which was truly thrilling to watch. And the couple of sunsets we observed from the beach side were incredible. There are really no words to describe our stay in Ojochal! The house is AMAZING!! I seeked PEACE and PEACE IS what I found here!! Everything you need plus some was there to make you feel really at home. Philippe is such a beautiful soul. We met his beautiful family and he gave us ideas for restaurants and tours even booked some of our tours. This house and everyone involved in the process is Amazing! We will definitely be back!
