The rooftop deck with a view of downtown Cincinnati is what drew us in, and it did not disappoint. Our family felt like we had enough space to spread out and be comfortable, but we also enjoyed the spaces together. The kitchen was well stocked, although I did not try to cook in it, because, well, vacation. I loved how we didn't have a long list of chores to do in order to leave! Calvin and his son have done a remarkable job transforming an older home into a fun, creative, cool experience with little surprises like the roof top deck and the amazing kitchen. They’ve thought of everything, but also were willing to go above and beyond to meet our needs and make our stay comfortable. The house is quiet with no through traffic on the street. The beds were super comfortable, the showers were nice and hot, the city views were spectacular (we got to see Octoberfest fireworks from the rooftop deck!), and the home was spacious enough to host a few family members for brunch the day after the wedding. There’s plentiful parking on the street across from the house. Southgate House felt like a home away from home during our big event. ##### Kathy D. The interior is done beautifully...it was so cool. The kitchen is great, downstairs bedrooms were comfortable, master bath is really unique, and the living area is spacious and well apportioned. But our favorite gathering spot was the rooftop. The weather was kind enough to hold off the rain and we had amazing views of the city....even treated to a post-Reds fireworks show.The property manager (Calvin) was simply outstanding.
