Nestled in the heart of the Monts de Blond, within walking distance of the Etang de Cieux, our cottage provides you with a home from home holiday, whether you are here for a short stopover or a longer holiday. Heaven's Cottage is clean, comfortable, cosy and well equipped. The ancient and mythical area of the Monts de Blond has many walking trails for you to explore the dolmens and megaliths. There are also many cycling trails and horse-riding in the area. The local lake is the perfect spot for fishing, and is virtually on the doorstep. Lac de St Pardoux is within 20 minutes with its two beaches, swimming pool, water sport facilities as well as more fishing opportunities. Oradour sur Glane (martyr village) is within 10 minutes. They are both hunters. I know this is not everyone's cup of tea, but a lot of people from that generation in rural France do like hunting, fishing, fetching mushrooms. There are woodlands all around the karting circuit. My dad and his friend have built some platforms in the trees, and from mid-October to mid-November they go there every morning to shoot migrating birds. Those ones are some sort of wood pigeons going from Eastern Europe / Russia to North Africa. I did my own shooting that morning... with my camera!
