On a protected bay for snorkeling, has a sand beach, has a pool within feet of the front door, has a beautiful property with mature plantings. There is a security gate with officer. It is a third and fourth floor walk up. Faces the pool, restaurant and Christiansted out the back. And from the fourth floor, faces the northwest waterline. The breeze across the rear deck is fantastic. The longer you stay, the deeper the discount. The apartment is in a good location within a few minutes drive of Christenstead. This was our first visit to St. Croix and we had fun exploring the beaches and restaurants. She provided detailed instructions, lots of St. Croix suggestions and was available during the entire week. The location is drivable to anywhere on the island but was far enough to be relaxing and didn’t feel touristy. But with the lower price point come some issues. The beds are comfortable, but the sheets are pilled and should be replaced. The comforters were dusty and need washing. The kitchen always feels a little dirty. Cupboards are packed with stuff and nothing feels clean. But it has all of the basics and tons of extras: beach chairs (some broken), beach towels, floaties, snorkel gear (worked great), and cooler (broken but functional). Not sure how this is legal, but to unlock the door from the inside you must use a key - so if there is a fire you could be trapped. The lock sticks, it was quite a pain to get in and out. But landlord was very responsive when we had a plumbing problem, and the location is close to everything. The condo is a good size with everything needed for a longer stay. The views are fantastic and Marti was so great at addressing any questions we had. The laundry room is not in-unit, but just downstairs from the condo which is convenient. The staff at the complex is absolutely wonderful. The only thing I suggest is updating the Tv's they didn't work for us, but the staff brought us one for the week and our vacation was beautiful. We had a wonderful stay and Marti's home is great. We absolutely loved the pool and the adjoining bar/restaurant, which makes it really more like you are at a resort than a condo complex. Downtown Christianstead (and the bustling boardwalk) is only a few minutes away. Things are hopping again and everyone very conscientiously wears masks/distances across the island.
