Christiansted Historic District Vacation Packages

I’ve been going to St Croix for 12 years and need to advise that if you’re looking for a 5 star luxury hotel / resort; you’re on the wrong island; goto St Thomas. Hotels here are mainly historic / small, which keeps with the island. With that said I loved staying at this hotel. It’s 300 years old; very clean, in the heart of everything, just feet from the restaurants / shops / water. The manager is on site. Being historic, if you stay in the top floors you must walk the stairs. I stayed in a top floor room (3rd story) with a nice ocean view; (yes it took a minute to get hot water but what’s the rush, the water was hot and you’re in a 300 yo hotel). It’s decorated with a lot of historical items and there is a very relaxed covered bar!). This is a perfect hotel for couples who want to relax, come and go as you please. I will staying here the next time I come to St Croix!

Staff was beyond fabulous beside one dark colored skin who would sit at bar on phone and not assist anyone with food or bar orders. Room was clean and updated. Sand lack seaweed or smell. Beutiful views.

The hotel is a fun place to stay, we had a few issues with getting towels, they were always short on beach towels. The beach was cute but not anything like advertised in their pictures, beach was not cleaned up, very rocky, lots of cigarette butts in the sand. They also rented out the patio and beach space to other guests from the outside, which made it somewhat feel crowded, they also had kids around the area, even though they advertised it as an adult only hotel. Surprisingly they had only had 8 beach chairs and 8 umbrellas available. Food was alright, available only from 11-4 PM, sadly not a great variety. Most of the time we went to the other restaurants in the city, the Louie & Nacho Beach Bar and Napoleons Pizza place were pretty good, but not much of a food variety there either. We highly recommend the salmon burger at sand castle, that was pretty good. Overall stay was fun and very relaxing, the city itself was nothing to write home about, most buildings are still destroyed from last hurricane, not much going on, you will see lots of homeless people, dogs in surrounding houses will be barking through the nights. If you drink at the hotel bar, make sure you check your bill, Paula likes to add a few extra drinks and adds her own tip as well! Red flag‼️we have heard she had done this before! Overall was a great vacation!
