In a good location, however the sound insulation is substandard. There was a dance party that went till 3am in close vicinity, I could hear every beat and every footstep.

It's convenient for the tourist tram just below. And walkable to dining options. The room itself is average.

Excellent hotel in the heart of the city.
It was a lovely hotel right in the city centre, so what's not to like. Also, we were upgraded from a Studio to a One bedroom apartment, which really put a smile on our faces.

Lovely place to stay to visit the city - well located to shops, eateries and sights of the city, staff were very friendly and helpful and the apartment itself was spacious with good amenities along with excellent views of the trams coming in and out of the junction!

Central city gem!
Our stay at Quest Cathedral Junction was a great success. The apartment was extremely spacious and very well equiped, right down to having laundry detergent for the washer/dryer! The beds were comfy, heaters efficient and the kitchen had everything needed. It was very conveniently located - about 5 mins walk down Colombo St to the bus interchange and another bus stop about 50 metres away. The Riverside Markets were only a 10 minute stroll away, as were dozens of cafes, restaurants and shops, and the new Regent Street precinct could be seen from our window! Don't be put off by the pictures of the Christchurch tram being so close. Indeed it runs right through the building, but you can only hear it once on the hour as it heads off and the Restaurant tram is finished by about 9pm. The picturesque Avon River was 3 blocks away, providing beaut walking paths. The staff were friendly and helpful and we would have no hesitation in staying there again, or recommending it.

The rooms are good - we were on the 4th floor and had a small kitchen, dining are, living room and bedroom. We were there during the busking festival, which was loud and the windows were not well sound proofed. The shower was nice, but a bathtub would have been an excellent addition. The doors from the stairwell to the lobbies were locked, so taking the stairs was difficult. The location is great - there is a coffee shop, barber, and liquor store downstairs, as well as an excellent Japanese restaurant. The tram goes right through the building, which can be a plus or a minus depending on your perspective. The location is excellent - near entertainment, shopping, the bus terminal, grocery store, and excellent restaurants.
