The historic building has been recently been refurbished in a contemporary yet cosy English style. Step outside to enjoy a private courtyard garden, complete with outdoor seating, atmospheric lighting, and a fire bowl. The Governor's House offers the luxury of guaranteed parking in the our large gated driveway (a rarity in Lacock). A breakfast hamper will be delivered to your doorstep at a time of your choosing. I had not researched the location before going so was amazed to enter the beautiful village of Lacock. The whole place is unique and the property is so beautiful. We were met by our hosts Rufus and his wife and they could not have been more welcoming. Couldn’t believe with my daughter being the biggest Harry Potter fan we were right in the location for some of the filming.
