Very convenient to the Virginia side entrance to Assateague and the kitchen is perfect for breakfast and simple dinners. Sorry to say I lost my watch there and could never find it, plus I left some Kerug coffee pot parts on the kitchen counter so had to purchase a new pot when I arrived home. We like the location- and the pool area looks like it had been updated since last year. The self check in is great. However, there are three things that make me question if we will stay again next year- 1) you get a text message before lunchtime the day before departure informing you of check out duties. These duties include everything except for changing the linen and mopping the floors. 2) I don’t think these floors get mopped. I thought maybe the black feet from walking barefoot was a fluke last year but this year it was even worse. We all had to clean our feet off multiple times the short amount of time we spent in the room. 3) A gentleman came by our room the morning of checkout and said he was from housekeeping- he requested we leave a tip on the dresser. This irritated me for multiple reasons but when I am responsible for- taking out the garbage, sweeping, wiping down surfaces, etc it seems a little inappropriate to ask. ##### Erika S.
