We made plans and arrived late. We were accommodated accordingly. If you are looking for a comfortable little cottage experience this is your place. This a nice out of the way place. I would say the rooms are a bit small, but very nicely decorated and a quiet place to rest. The other rooms were occupied, but you never heard them. First problem: When we arrived there was a price difference, as there were three of us, two adults and one child. When booking and filling out the online forms, which I have done hundreds of times before, I marked two adults and an 8 year old child. We were quoted $369.51 by hotel.com. She charged us $403.41, as she said she charges extra for the Rollaway, which costs an extra $33.90 for three night stay. Since we were tired from our two day drive and tense because of the funeral we were coming for the next day, I paid the difference. Second problem: When checking in she took us to our room. She showed more concern about showing us how the door locks work, as if we were dummies, never telling us we don’t get daily maid service. And to our disappointment next day after getting back from the funeral, we found that housekeeping had not come.The following day after calling Dehlia , She tried to explain with an excuse that she doesn’t offer daily maid service to keep the lower rates and that most people that check in want their privacy. As for the price I could gotten a place in Chilliwack with two queen bed for $89.00 a night with fridge and microwave. Her kitchenette had no microwave. We really enjoyed staying here. This served as our home base to have a romantic dinner at River's Edge restaurant at the nearby Pretty golf course, as well as spending a day in Harrison Hot Springs which is only about a 15 km drive away. Except for an out of control neighbour dog, the location was very quiet, relaxing, and comfortable. It looks like a motel out of a horror movie but hey I decide to give it a chance. There is no AC as the agent at Hotels.com told me there would be. That's very important to me because I have dogs in the room. The owner shows me to the room and assured me that it doesn't get hot in there so I give it a chance. To pay for the room, you go to an old abandoned commercial kitchen to run your credit card. I am totally creeped out at this point. When I finally get to my room ALONE I take off the top covers assuming that there will be decent sheets underneath....FAIL. The sheets and furniture are like they came from my grandmother's house that have been used for decades. Yes, they were worn in and just horrible. I couldnt' even sit on the bed or the chairs that were equally worn down and that 70's green colour. The key didn't even work too well for the door. On the bright side, the flooring looked new and recently redone. By 3pm I gave up on giving the place and chance and packed my belongings and dogs back up and left. There was nobody on the property or in the office so the next best thing was to call Hotels.com to tell them my horror story. Hopefully they can get a refund from the hotel for me.
