The property has real character charm and well decorated with generous size room and beautiful bathroom. The host was excellent friendly and welcomed with coffee and home made biscuits in the sitting room. Home cooked quality breakfast capped a comfortable sleep. Would look to stay again.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Very pleasant environment and comfortable room. Breakfast a bit overcooked but otherwise ok.
I don't think there is anything else we could have asked for whilst we stayed here. The hosts were friendly and just the right amount of attentive. The gardens are beautiful, and we spent a good deal of time just listening and watching the birds. The accommodations themselves were lovely as well! Very cozy, and you can tell that every detail was thought out by the hosts. We can't say enough good about this place. Highly recommend!
Peter was very welcoming upon our arrival. The cleanliness is exceptional, and is amongst the best we have ever experienced. Thought has been given to the smallest detail, The interior design, decor and ambiance is outstanding. Dave and Peter serve up a wholesome breakfast treat, which on its own makes us want to return. It is very close to the Goodwood motor racing circuit. This was perfect to enjoy a weekend getaway. For a bed and breakfast, our experience may be likened to a five star hotel. In fact, our stay at the Ritz Hotel in London did not fully meet with the same standard of hospitality as the Old School. This is the main advantage when your hosts care about their customers and they personally attend to your needs. The bed was very comfortable and the room was warm. Additionally the shower was hot, which was pleasant after spending a day out in the rain. Chichester has an abundance of places to eat out for dinner.
We had booked here as a one-evening break away from the children, hoping for relaxation and a chance to recharge, and we completely loved it! Everything about this B&B was perfect; lovely hosts, clean, comfortable beds, absolutely delicious breakfast, beautiful gardens and house decor. Every detail had been thought about and the hosts were even kind enough to provide us with cutlery and plates so that we could eat in the conservatory with our takeaway. The B&B is close to beautiful countryside and Chichester. We felt so recharged. Would recommend to everyone!
We had a great one night stay, the hosts were charming, the property is beautiful with character, they have thought of everything, lovely breakfast, what more could you want
Our first visit was so good we came back. We enjoyed the ambiance of the room. As before a great breakfast. Superb hosts who are working very hard at this time to ensure everyone is safe. Enjoyed the proximity to Pagham Harbour and many outside activities.
Excellent cannot fault this stay spotless comfortable friendly welcome this is by far the best BnB we have stayed in. Would recommend unreservedly in one word Perfect
Lovely stay at this gorgeous Old School House, warm welcome. Hosts very helpful, booked us a meal in a local pub and even dropped us off! Place immaculate and everything we could need was there. Breakfast amazing!
Thank you so much we would definitely recommend.
We had an excellent stay with David and Peter, great food and very welcoming with lots of helpful advice on what to see, where to go and where to eat in the evening.
Peter and David were amazing hosts who opened their magnificent BandB to us. The attention they have given to the house wasevident when we arrived in the evening. Their restoration was not only in excellent taste, but in ecological sensitivity and functionality. Morning allowed us to see the beauty of their garden from the breakfast room where we feasted on a gourmet quality meal. Their insight in activities in the area was excellent
Loved the big cosy sitting room and warm welcome with a hot drink. Fantastic. Really well equipped room and bathroom with lovely shower gel and shampoo and real luxury of a fresh face flannel. Bliss.
Would have preferred separate breakfast table but it was fine and nice other guests.
Parking is slightly tight!
Exceptionally friendly, helpful hosts where no details have been overlooked. it was really comfortable and clean as a new pin. Breakfasts were tasty, varied and beautifully presented. A really great experience. The property is only five minutes drive away from the centre of Chichester, so very handy and we were given plenty of helpful advice about where to visit, eat and explore.
Our hosts were welcoming, gracious, attentive and provided great local tips. Breakfasts were outstanding, with multiple options. The house is beautiful and immaculately kept. The garden is an added bonus, really a few interesting mini gardens that feel quite private. Just outside Chichester, away from the bustle. While the forecast was for rain every day, in reality the rain was limited and didn’t dampen our plans. There’s a lot to see and do in the region, keeping us busy for six days.
Chichester and nearby Bracklesham are special places to us, so having somewhere to stay over that feels comfortable, welcoming and homely is an important part of making the most of our visits. Our second stay at The Old School maintained the very high standards experienced on our previous visit. Our hosts Peter and David again provided a warm welcome (even remembering the reason for our last stay in May) and although we'd opted for a different room, the same attention to detail, cleanliness and high standards were evident. The quality of the breakfast alone ticks so many boxes!! Without doubt, the best B&B we've ever stayed in, both in and outside of the UK...
