Great location

Posted 23-Aug-2016
Pros: Location, bar.
Cons: WiFi
Handy to metro from Midway Airport. Problem with WiFi - no signal in my room last week. After LENGTHY discussions with hotel's WiFi provider it appears there are numerous WiFi dead-spots in the hotel "possibly caused by interference from nearby buildings". Maybe - my laptop and phone were trying to connect to an access point 2 floors away from my room (1115), and apparently there was supposed to be one almost adjacent to the room! Not good enough - time to get it sorted.

Great location

No major complaints or things to rave about. It served its purpose....a place to sleep. Hotel elevators were always slow and full, must have been an issue with one or more of them. Room was comfortable with a great view of the river and convenient to many great places and trains. I think I would explore other hotels in the area just because there are so many other options in this price range.

Nice Hotel No staging for arriving guests

Posted 21-Aug-2016
Pros: The location to walk around the city and enjoy any opportunities. Staff was overall friendly.
Cons: Bathtub drain needed to be unplugged. Beds are on the firm side might need replaced.
The Hotel has no staging area for arriving guests, you are on a very busy street. The employee helping said they actually had a guest struck by a car recently. The Hotel was doing some construction they had fans set up all over the Lobby very warm. The room was clean and good layout. The bath tub drain was partially plugged and water backed up while showering, should be a minor fix for repair staff. Location is good for downtown enjoying the city. Parking a little pricey at $65.00 for your vehicle.

Great Location, Very Clean

Posted 11-Aug-2016
Pros: Cleanliness, location, comfort
Cons: I would have loved to have had tissues in the bathroom! Instead, I used toilet paper.
Location: Location was great--pickup for BigBus that tours the city, walking distance to Shoreline cruise lines, walking distance to many stores.
We were pleasantly surprised to receive a corner room on the 30th floor which offered a fantastic view of Chicago. The room was exceptionally clean as was the bathroom; bed was comfortable; loved the pillows! I can't say enough nice things about this hotel--would love to stay there again. It is located very close to many attractions, many within walking distance. Service was excellent.

Convenient location, beautifully renovated

Posted 5-Aug-2016
Pros: Staff was professional, friendly and helpful. The room was surprisingly quiet for being sold out and on a main street in the city. Very convenient.
Cons: The bathroom tub.
Location: The location is fantastic. You're just a few blocks from Grant Park, the Magnificent Mile, and the theater district.
I booked this room so we had someplace to stay after the Lollapalooza concert on Thursday night. It was a nice room, except for the shower. The entire hotel has been renovated and looks great, but it seems like they left the old tubs in the bathrooms and ours was pretty gross. There were stains in the bottom of the tub itself that looked like smeared blood. It wasn't, but it kind of ruined the rest of the beautifully renovated bathroom. Simply reglazing the tub would probably do the trick. Also, the telephones in our room did not work; no dial tone. Having to call the hotel from our cell phones and wait for a technician at 10:30 PM to fix our phone was a hassle, especially since we were tired from a full day out. You don't think you'll need the room phone, until you can't use it and realize that you do. Other than the items above, I thought the hotel was really nice.
