Great Location

Posted 2-May-2016
First time visiting Chicago and I'm glad we booked here for our stay. Great location and awesome view of the Chicago River. The room was clean and a decent size. However, the bed was a bit uncomfortable. Overall, great hotel and I would recommend.

A major problem with hot water and cleanness

Posted 30-Apr-2016
This is the first time in many years that other guests rating led me and my family to a deep disappointment. The hotel has a well now problem with hot weather (it is only warm in the evenings), our room was not clean ( I found stuff from other guest under the beds...) and the toilets kept on crushing. This is not a 4 starts hotel - think twice !!

If you want to be treated well stay here!

Posted 27-Apr-2016
Pros: Location and the great customer service
Cons: It's great just the way it is!
Location: You are close to nightlife, shopping, theatre, and a little walk to museums. Once we park the car we are on foot or uber everything is so close!
We have stayed here many times and each time we are treated well. This time, because we are Expedia VIP members they upgraded the room to a large suite it was awesome. We didn't have coffee in the room and after we called within 10 minutes it was there. We love the location it's in the middle of everything and easy to get to.

Good but not Great

Posted 24-Apr-2016
Pros: Staff and location.
Cons: Detailed above.
The problems were mostly handicapped accessibility in the bathroom. Yes, in a supposedly accessible room. One grab bar next to the toilet was missing and had obviously been there at one time. The toilet was not ADA compliant and combined with the missing grab bar made life difficult. The roll-in shower sprayed water all over the floor. not unexpected but annoying anyway. Isn't there an engineer out there who can design a shower with zero entry that doesn't spray the entire room? And Kuerig coffee - hate it. Even the old Mr. Coffee's were better. Every detail of the decorating was attended to. Wish I could say the same for the functionality of our room.

Not a 4 star hotel

Posted 18-Apr-2016
Pros: The staff and the location.
Cons: See above.
Other than the staff, which was excellent... I've stayed in better 2 and 3 stars... My stay was for 2 nights. The shower stall was stained and scraped up, the faucet handle was loose and had to be "finagled" to operate. Once operating, there was no capacity for hot water... only tepid to warm. Constant, noticeable and bothersome elevator noise heard in the room. Amenities were not at all, or not fully refreshed (coffee, water bottles, hand soap, etc...) 1 of the beds had a poor foundation and made a loud noise when moving around on it. When I voiced my complaints on check-out, apologies were made, but no effort was made to "make amends". I'm usually not one to complain, nor do I believe my complaints here will make a bit of difference, but it felt like a waste of 600 dollars... I should've stayed at the motel 6.
