Great for families and entertaining. With the open concept it is a great place for families or friends to be together. The kitchen here is truly the Heart of the home and a part of the open living space. It has custom cabinets, granite counters and stainless appliances. For the colder months, both bathrooms have heated tile floors. The main bathroom is a whirlpool tub/shower combo. Residence on the Avenue. A Spacious Vintage condo in a stunning 1928 Art Deco building on a tree lined avenue. A very quiet and secure 4 unit building with front lobby entrance. Property manager on site to answer any questions and to make sure that your stay at Residence on the Avenue is a wonderful experience. Open floor plan with spacious gourmet kitchen/dining area over looking the living room with fire place. Custom cabinets, granite counter Great for entertaining. This spacious condo has 9 ft. ceilings. All hard wood floors. Private garden with its own seating area. Also see our 3 bedroom 2nd floor unit #290256\. Large bathrooms. One with whirlpool/shower,the other with large walk in shower. Italian tile heated floors. The bedrooms and main bath are located down a seperate hallway. Bedroom one has a French four poster queen size bed. Bedroom two has a Victorian antique full sized bed and walk in closet. All linens are 400 thread count or greater to insure a comfortabele sleep. Our condos are maintained at the highest level to insure a healthy environment. We are a Green building with high effeciency systems. On the Evanston Border, only 1 mile from the quaint downtown, home to great shops, restaurants and of course Northwestern University. Loyola University is also really close to Residence on the Avenue. This would make a perfect place to call home for all Northwestern & Loyala games and events. Also while visiting your child who are attending one of these great schools. Walking distance to the Red Line as well as bus service. Quick access to Wrigley Field, Lincoln Park Zoo and the Magnificent Mile. You can reach the city center with in 20 minute. This is a fantastic location just outside of the city on a quiet street but close to everything. At last minute I was unable to attend but had made the reservations. They said the place was spotless with everything needed for the weekend. The property manager met them and let them in and showed them the property. They said the location was great and they highly recommend. They enjoyed their stay. ##### PATRICIA M. The neighborhood is quiet, walkable, and close to both downtown and the suburbs. The host is friendly, easy to communicate with, and shared information about getting around the city, as well as restaurant recommendations. The unit is very clean, quiet, and easy to be in. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of soft towels, which you don’t always get with a rental. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, utensils, and cookware, although no spices except for salt and pepper, which was fine by us, but BYO spices if you’re planning something specific. Having a washer and dryer was a plus and there’s a garage spot in the back that fits a small SUV, which was helpful when dealing with city street parking. Jun 29, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location, listing accuracy Disliked: Communication #### Beautiful property but we had a few issues Good: Communication with owner was easy, detailed, & responsive. Super nice person. Property was very clean on arrival w/ plenty of supplies. Comes with 1 garage parking spot (very small). Departure was very easy. Bad: Property manager could be called abrupt, rude, & inappropriate. Hoping he was just having a bad week. Two major issues. Night of my son’s formal graduation party (we were co-hosting); very reason we were in Chicago renting VRBO, the drains clogged & toilets would not flush. Property manager didn’t respond until we reached out to owner directly. Property manager arrived very agitated, stating that drain pump only clogs when woman put “personal products” into toilets. I explained to him that all woman staying at house were past the age where they would use those products. When I walked away, he reiterated to my sister & then a third time to my wife, “one of the woman must have put personal products in the toilets”, “woman use these personal products for incontinence too”. Simply unbelievable! We were unable to fully get ready for my son’s event as plumber shut off water w/ no estimated time for repair. Unfortunately, 2 days later we were w/out hot water. When property manager arrived, again agitated, he said to my family “this has never happened in 17 years” as if we purposely blew out gas water heater’s pilot light. Why would we ever want to be w/out hot water? Totally ridiculous! With help of neighbor, he relit pilot & we had hot water next day. ##### Daniel S.
