Cons: Soundproof rooms next to elevators
Location: Perfect location to sights
I did not appreciate being placed by the elevators. I figured it was because I booked through Expedia at a lower rate. Elevators were running all night long.

Had a wonderful stay and the service was phenomenal. Wish there were more room choices with better views, but the staff was really accommodating in moving our rooms to a better location as soon as a city view room opened up.

Great Hotel on Michigan Ave.

Location: Shopping and dining including several in the hotel
We went to Chicago for a spring break family vacation. My four grown children and five grandchildren. We were given two adjoining rooms for a total of four rooms. I had requested only one. The room was beautiful. Even my nine year old grandson said the room was very pretty. The staff was courteous and accommodating. If you have plans to shop any stores at the Water Tower Place it is only a block away. Centrally located to any attractions you might want to see in Chicago. The kids want to go back the same time and same place next year.

In town for a long Weekend!

Check in is at 3pm. By 7:45pm we were still waiting for our room. Under normal circumstances, I would have raised HELL!!! However, William at the front desk treated my wife and I like we were not only VIP's, but family. He was professional, compassionate and curtious. He really bent over backwards to alleviate the stress of the situation. As a college Recruitor, I frequent hotels on a regular basis and truly appreciate the effort that William put into making a bad situation great. Thanks William! Your efforts are truly appreciated!!

Great hotel

We really enjoyed staying at the Westin. The hotel has a great location and the staff was great. I felt that the breakfast is expensive so we found a good cafeteria just outside. There is a Hertz Car rental inside that proved useful They have a plumbing issue as sometimes when showering dirty water would come out for some seco ds. Reported this and they told me they where working on it

Overall nice hotel

Nice hotel and convenient location. My only complaint was with checkout. Our stay was for one night (Saturday night). During check in we were told that checkout could be up to 3pm on Sunday's. They asked what time we would be checking out so that they could inform housekeeping and not be bothered. I let them know we would check out at 1pm. We planned our night accordingly knowing we had a couple hours extra for our stay. The housekeeping staff ended up coming twice before 1pm and both times asked what time we would be leaving. We told them again that we'd leave at 1pm. I just felt like what could have been seen as an extra perk ended up being an inconvenience for us. I felt like it was pointless to tell us we could stay later because I felt I was getting shoved out the door.

The room and bathroom seemed clean at first. The shower, however, had clearly not been cleaned and the previous occupant's hair was clumped around the edges of the tub. Overall, it's a decent hotel but the price did not match what the experience brought.
