First room we went in our double lock was broken. The next room he gave us had only one bed when we asked for two so it was a very big haste to get checked in. The hotel hallways smell and the hotel seems unsanitary. Our phone is broken in the room.
Our room is clean, comfortable and warm. Front desk staff was not so friendly. He never volunteered any info on breakfast hours or room number etc…. Good thing room # was on our key and breakfast hours were posted. Whatever happened to being hospitable in this kind of establishment.

Kathleen is what I thought it should be. We asked for an extra pillow and extra blanket the first night we didn’t get any because there weren’t any clean at all the second day. We asked for a couple extra towels because we only had one towel piece no washcloths. One towel and one washcloth, but there were two of us we should’ve received two washcloths. It just wasn’t a great experience. It wasn’t that clean when we first checked in to our room there was a tea bottle underneath the leg rest of the chair.

The young man at the front desk was very friendly. Check in was quick. The room was very clean and nice for an older hotel. It seems to have been renovated or updated. Only thing I didn't like was the sink was out in the entry by the room door instead of inside of the bathroom. The bathroom was small.
The workers were really nice, however, the state of the building needs a lot of work. In our room, a bathroom ceiling light was out, the towel bar was broken off the wall, the toilet seat was broken, there were no tissues in the holder, and the tv remote did not work.
The desk staff cheerfully made sure I got a room next to the elevator as I use a walker. I was extremely grateful for her consideration. It made my stay easier. I also appreciate that I could sit on the edge of the bed and my feet touched the floor. I’m 5’1” tall and many hotel beds are too high for me to get in and out of comfortably. This is my go to hotel when in Elgin.

Overall it was a good experience. Hassle free, pretty quiet. A little dated on furniture and bathroom was smaller than expected but room was clean and staff friendly. I would stay here again for sure

We have used this hotel on several occasions for family and friends to stay while in town, and have always received positive comments from them. Much better prices than other hotels in the area.

Property is very run down. Stayed there in 2019 and it was okay but has gone downhill. Sink Faucet moved so much I thought it was going to come off the sink. Need some fruit on breakfast.

The property was fine. The problem I had was trying to reach a human being with Expedia instead of virtual access only. I had an issue I needed to correct so I wouldn't be charged twice and it was ridiculous and long to actually get to speak with someone.
