The very worst Hilton but great location.
We were offered a room with a grand lit, b nice then an upgrade to a higher floor for $35/night which we took. The room on the 18th floor looked out on a wall 5 meters away. Waited 30minutes to change the room and lost the grand lit. Room a bit run down - no pressure and not enough hot water in the shower. The concierge was never there and guest services refused to call a restaurant for me. Worst Hilton ever.

L’hotel surfe sur l’ancien mais à complètement oublié de faire l’entretien obligatoire à tout hôtel. Les couloirs et chambres sont tres sales et en mauvais état. Du sang et du jus d’orange sur les portes, des degats des eaux avec moisissures, le sol est sale, le rideau de douche avec de la morve ou moisissure séchée, de l’urine sur la droite des WC qui doit dater de plusieurs années, des joints de portes rouillés qui degueulent sur la porte, du papier pain qui décolle énormément partout, des meubles usagés et tres sales jamais nettoyés recouverts de poussière et autres résidus. J’ai pris des photos pour preuve tellement c’est une honte. Pas de bouteille d’eau alors que l’eau est de mauvais goût. La chambre tres sombre, je n’ai pas osé regarder sous le lit tellement tout est sale et insalubre. Le personnel peut serviable ni accueillant je m’en foutiste. Le restaurant du petit déjeuner : j’y ai été deux fois mais à chaque fois l’accueil est repoussant , on attend tres longtemps avant d’obtenir une place alors qu’il n’y a pas grand monde, une fois installé, cela prend du temps avant de pouvoir commander, la nourriture est tres tres grasse à l’américaine et on ne peut pas leur reprocher, le prix est incroyable cher, le service on vous jette le café. Tres tres déçu, une chose est certaine : je ne reviendrais plus à cet hôtel désuet qui surfe certainement sur une image du passé. Et je ne vous parle même pas du personnel d’accueil …

Bathroom was not clean there was pubic hair all over the floor and tub. There was hair on the sheets. I did complain, but they thought free breakfast was sufficient yet the food was nasty as well. McDonald’s is better compared to the food they have.

The decor is beautiful. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was very good. The brownies are not so great. Do not buy at $8. The only problem was when we asked for additional items in our room, they either arrived after a very long wait or not at all. One more thing - smallest bathroom I have ever seen.

The stay was fine. This hotel has a system where you are charged an extra $25 but then it is applied to a bar or restaurant bill. The only problem is that they didn’t execute that process at all so my bill at the restaurant was not reduced $25. That was discovered when I returned home. They are banking on the fact that most people won’t call to fight for their $25 over the phone. So…beware!

The hotel ended up being pretty good for the stay, I was very comfortable with my room, I just was not informed there was a $25 mandatory property charge, which is why I’m rating 4 stars. The location is close to most of the local transit lines, as well as having decent stores in the area if you need to pick anything up (target, convenience stores, etc)

The double beds were very small. There was no coffee maker, refrigerator, or microwave in the room. There was no free coffee anywhere in the hotel. The shower had long hairs in it when we arrived. The mini bar fridge contained several sandwich wraps that had expired 2 months earlier. The pool wasn't as warm as we had hoped, but wasn't cold and the underwater lights and bubblers were nice. The spa and gym were nice. The lobby decor was spectacular. And we enjoyed all the photos of famous people in the hallways. Front desk responded quickly to text messages. I don't think I will stay there again.

Only issue was the hot water pressure for hot water did not work. Like period. No water came out and we had to shower with cold water. Asked for a fan and was told they would look for one and then never given to us. Overall the stay was worth it but I wished they would have accommodated us and worked on some do the maintenance of the room.

Hotel was nice (and extremely busy and packed with people), rooms were great. Great location to get a Chicago experience. Clean rooms, but no option to use a refrigerator for personal items.
