The property looks like it has been renovated, but it was done poorly. Walls and ceilings were falling apart at the seams. Hot water was warm at best

First, I'll start with the false advertisement about the indoor pool. I booked my room December 3rd 2023 and I received a phone call on December 28th from a lady that works for the hotel stating that the pool is not indoors but, is an outdoor seasonal pool and the lady was VERY RUDE over the phone. She waited weeks to call. She called on the last day I could cancel my reservation penalty free and two days before a holiday weekend. How was I supposed to find something different in less than 48 hours and for a good deal?! We check into the room and we walk into the room and there's no balcony. I specifically reserved a balcony room for my autistic husband who needs the fresh air flow. The man at the front desk was VERY RUDE to my husband and myself when I brought the wrong room situation up to him. I was OVER CHARGED for my room by over $40. The lock on the room door is broken, ice machine didn't work, Wifi didn't work very well, if at all. Elevator is scary, I don't recommend riding in it. I've never heard an elevator make those kinds of sounds. Coffee maker in room was broken. There were stains on the carpet and the bathroom sink wasn't very clean but, otherwise, the room was pretty clean.

Google pictures show INDOOR POOL AND JACUZZI the way it was some time ago. I spend few night here in the past and expected the same not just an over priced room by it self rwmove those google pictures asap

The pictures from Google are for the old Holiday Inn Holidome which is closed and guests that stayed there in the past are posting old photos on google which management is trying to take off put theses pictures are not on our website Holiday Inn Express Rolling Meadows.

I did not have any issues with the property. I only stayed for one night because it was close to my job. I liked the hot breakfast option. I would stay again.

We were first put in a room on the first floor and the employee said, "you're not staying alone are you?" because there are guests who stay long term on the first floor. The room had bugs in the sink and mold, so we were switched to another floor which was much better. I gave it a low rating because the employee implied that it was unsafe and the condition of the first room shouldn't have been rented out. Just something to think about for future stays.

I liked the room which had a large desk with good lighting. Also, the bed was very comfortable. I didn’t like using styrofoam plates, cups and bowls at breakfast. And plastic cutlery. These are not recyclable and it was awful, seeing the garbage piled with these. Since only breakfast is served, it would be easy to invest in a dishwasher and provide reusable dishes.

CS was rude with my daughter and no cleaning service for 6 days. Asked for the complementary body wash and he couldn’t get any from the room saying it was locked. Figured they would send some up the next day but nope!
