Pros: Staff and amenities are great.
Cons: Parking, valet, and check in are very slow when an event is going on in the hotel.
Location: Millennium Park, John Hancock Obervatory, Lake Shore, Michigan Ave Shops
Our stay was enjoyable. It was for a race event, thus big crowds, lots of cars needing parking, and checkin were a bit slow. But the room was very nice and quiet. Comfy bed,

Pros: Nice staff
Cons: Cheaper parking
Location: Shedd's Aquarium

Very nice hotel, close to the lake and Grant park

Posted 31-Aug-2015
Pros: Great location, clean, spacious rooms, friendly and helpful staff, nice bar area,a good food and drinks
Cons: Valet and ability to request a day room or late check out at the time of booking the room
Location: Close to the lake, Grant park, Shedd aquarium, museums
In general, a very nice hotel to stay. The only problem was the valet. First, it's located off the side street. Not knowing that we pooled up to the front of the hotel and were told that we had to circle around the block and valet on the opposite side. Second, my wife and I participated in Chicago triathlon that weekend and Hilton hotel was a hosting hotel for that event, so they should have expected a larger amount of cars being valetted. I'm not sure who to blame for that but it took us a long time (about 10 minutes or longer, and $69 for the valet seems a little overpriced) before somebody could help us, I saw that cars had to stop on the street because they couldn't get in in the valet area. Seemed like they were a little understaffed and/or slightly unorganized. Second, I couldn't request a late check out or a day room when I was booking the room, it was only available at check in time

Save your money

Posted 31-Aug-2015
Looks nice on the surface until you look a little closer. We were in a remodeled room. Mold in bathroom, peeling paint thru out. Elevator key had to be fixed 2x. Paid extra for the complimentary breakfast. Everything was empty and asked twice to get more. Never happened. Should of saved $100 and stayed around the corner. No free wifi except in the lobby. Little strange for 2015. Not Hilton quality.

Pet noise issue

Posted 30-Aug-2015
I couldnt sleep whole night because my next door has a big dog that barked most if the time. I thought i chose nice hotel for me to get nice and comfort sleep, but end up i couldnt sleep well. I called several times to security and front desk to address this issue, they were very nice but could not resolve the issue. It is pet friendly hotel but not human friendly hotel. The returned of apology from the manager was a breakfast in the morning.
