While I had spent time in Chicago for work many times on the past, the girls had never been so it was a quick get-away for them to experience something new. Didnโ€™t know about the buildingโ€™s history until after we got there and looked at the plaque by the entrance. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Watched fireworks over the lake from the patio. A visitor who had grown up in Chicago said it was the best view of the city heโ€™d ever seen. Our place is too small to have everyone stay with us so we needed a VRBO rental nearby. This place did not disappoint!! Very comfortable, clean, and well-kept place with a nice view of the lake and access to the building rooftop terrace. There is also a gym and an in-unit washer/dryer! Perfect location (short walk to all the major sites or to Red Line train for things north like Wrigley) and the building is very quiet. I expected to hear street noise or other people (big city stuff) and heard nothing! The place is very clean and is as pictured. Communication with owners was great. Grant park is right across the street with easy access to the art museum, Field Museum and aquarium.
