The place itself is nice, nicer than most hostels in the same price range. You get breakfast and the staff is nice. The bathrooms seem to always be clean which is HUGE deal for most I suppose. The only thing that management needs to improve on is routine maintenance, the rooms walls need paint, as do the bathrooms. Some stalls and showers have stains of dubious precedence which is off-putting. I started in a small sigle room, very small but just right if you don't have large luggage. The bed was very firm which I liked. I was in the bathroom on the day the earthquake happened in Myanmar and I saw how the column on the 3rd floor bathroom split, next to the sink. Spacious, comfortable room with good amenities. It was awkward at first, because access to the rooms is through the Meetman Restaurant, but the staff made me feel welcome. Great location near the Thapae Gate. This hostel is great if you want to be right in the heart of city and looking for a very well well managed environment. Everybody who works there is really friendly and very helpful. This was truly one of the best hostel experiences I’ve had. Arrived before check in and where upgraded to a private room because it was ready!
