This is my favorite quadrant of old town Chiang Mai Now, that bed. Blanket was fine but wow the mattress was comedically hard. No springs nor foam. Felt and sounded like a cardboard / plywood box under there. A yoga mat on concrete would have been comparable. Never felt anything quite like it. Pro Tip: hug one of the big pillows while you sleep to offset some weight with more padding. The only part of this hotel that is well maintained is the lobby, the rooms are in a deteriorating state. For exemple our room had rips in the bed linens, scuffed walls, stained rugs and bugs crawling on the counter.
