The hotel was conveniently located close to the airport, and the amenities were amazing. Rooms were clean, air conditioning was excellent and beds were very comfortable. But more than anything, the customer service and amazing kindness of the staff was unparalleled. Despite check in hours ending at 10 PM, when I messaged asking what I should do if my 9 PM flight was delayed, the staff generously said that they would wait for me. Even after checking out of the hotel, they offered any help/ support I needed. Booked and paid for 7 nights in advance. Arrived with no room was available due to their major facility plumbing issue and had to check into a two-twin bed room instead of one king bed as booked. The facility was very old, dirty with bad odor. One of the worst sort of the bad odor was their dark color toilet mat. This very dirty toilet mat would had never been cleaned nor replaced for months. Tried of this very inconvenience and decided to give up and moved to a different hotel instead. The even more disturbing news was both of the Sheik Istana Hotel and Hotel.com were putting a lot of effort not to refund the remaining unused nights. Very eager to introduce the room to us, the room is large, very neat, no taste. Very quiet at night, sleep well, breakfast is very rich, the hotel is very good location, you can walk to the beach for a walk, there is terminal21 shopping mall opposite, there is 711 supermarket next door, the experience is very good.
