I chose to book this hotel (B&B) because it was situated next to the airport, which was suitable due to my very early flight the following morning. I am an experienced traveller, and I have never before had big troubles finding my hotel. This time I must admit that I had to give up. After spending more than two hours driving around the area in which the hotel should be located according to the map and distance from airport, including asking a number of persons in restaurants, hotels, army camp etc in the neighbourhood, I ended up finding that the hotel/B&B was situated in a totally different location. In addition, if I had chosen to stay, my trip to the airport would have been prolonged with approx. 7 km due to having to travel a distance on the motorway passing by in the wrong direction before being able to make a U- turn and head back to the airport. Adding time for heavy traffic, this establishment was no longer an option. For anyone looking for hotels close to the Chiang Mai airport, stay away from this place. Unless you are just looking for a place close to the airport, don't bother. Clean and nice enough (though beds are hard), nothing in the area. Staff wasn't helpful in getting taxis, had to walk more than 30 minutes to find one into town.
