The Cottage, Yew Tree Farm Holidays, Tattenhall
Newly refurbished comfortable cottage on small farm close to Chester and the Shropshire and Welsh borders.
It is suitable for both families or a romantic holiday.
The cottage has one king size bedroom with a beautiful french bed and extremely comfortable mattress.
There is a twin bedroom and also a single bedroom. The single bedroom could accommodate a cot. All beds have comfortable new mattresses with crisp cotton sheets.
The kitchen is very well equipped with dishwasher, microwave, oven, hob, Nespresso coffee machine and Aeroccino, washing machine/dryer.
Tea, coffee and sugar will always be available. Milk in the fridge for when you arrive and fresh free range eggs when available. We also can provide a cot and stair gate at guests request.
I'm very happy to take in your online shopping delivery for you but can provide breakfast foods, ie our own free range eggs and locally bred bacon and sausages on request at an extra charge.
The sitting room has Freeview TV and an electric fire.
The bathroom has an over bath electric shower and soft bath and hand towels are provided.
Free Wifi throughout house. Should you happen to be on EE then the coverage is great and you can get 3/4G in the house.
The house also has its own private garden.
I am nearly always available during your stay so if I can be of assistance in any way please let me know.
Beeston, Peckforton and Cholmondeley castles plus the Sandstone Trail all under ten minutes drive away.
It is only a small walk to the famous Ice Cream farm and walks on the Shropshire Union Canal.
Many fabulous gastro pubs all within a ten minute drive.
Shopping at the walled city of Chester and McArthur Glen Cheshire Oaks shopping outlet.
Chester zoo ten miles away.
Lovely walks straight from the front door. Local village is 1.5 miles away and has selection of pubs, Indian restaurant/ takeaway, Chinese takeaway and Fish & Chip shop.

Wonderful!
The property and surrounding area is absolutely beautiful! We were beyond happy with our stay. Rachel is truly wonderful and extremely helpful. Her suggestions for the local area were fantastic and she was extremely welcoming. We highly recommend this property and would definitely return.

Wonderful Stay at Yew Tree Farm
We enjoyed our time in the immaculate Yew Tree Cottage. It is decorated nicely. Such a lovely setting and the cottage contained everything that we needed and more.The owners are friendly and clearly take pride in their farm. We so appreciated the fresh eggs and milk that were waiting for us upon arrival.
We loved the English countryside and found Tattenhall to be a quaint.
We would love to come back and visit at another time.

Spotlessly clean
Bedrooms bright and cheery with good quality mattresses and linen
Would highly recommend the cottage
Only downside we wished we had stayed longer !!!!!!!!

Lovely place, would definitely recommend
We had a lovely stay at the cottage. Was so much better than us staying in a hotel room. Perfect for kids and only a short walk to an amazing ice cream factory/play park for kids. We will definitely be recommending this place and booking it to stay at again.
My only problem we had was it was hard to find in the dark and the floor boards and doors were a little creaky so our 7 1/2 month old didn't sleep as well as normal but that's a small niggle and somewhat expected in an old cottage.
The cottage had everything we could ask for. Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

Fantastic cottage. A must stay!
We were attending a family christening and as a family decided to stay in a holiday cottage and what a fantastic cottage we chose. We had a warm welcome from the owners and their friendly dogs.
The cottage itself is stunning, set in an old building full of character with beautiful modern furniture. We loved it! Definitely returning soon.

Very clean and tidy cottage
Lovely cottage with everything you could need. Kitchen is very well equipped and the cottage is very clean and tidy. Rachel and Grant could not be more welcoming. We stayed for 3 nights to visit Blackpool (although quite a distance, we couldn't find anywhere nearer to Blackpool) and Chester Zoo. We had 2 great days out but would love to return as many other local attractions we would have liked to see. Would definitely recommend.

Had a fantastic time at this lovely cottage
Had a fantastic time at this lovely cottage. We arrived on the Friday and were immediately welcomed by Rachel who showed us around, it wasn't long before our kids wanted to explore the farm where we met some very friendly dogs, chickens, sheep and Alfie the horse.
The cottage is so clean and all the equipment is modern it was a pleasure to relax in there and the 3 children loved it either playing in the big garden or meeting the animals.
The location was perfect, just up the road is the ice cream farm. We went here 3 times over the weekend as the kids loved the different activities including adventure golf, play centre, sand and water centre jcb diggers and a free Park as well as trying our a few of the amazing ice creams.
20 mins away is Chester Zoo, the aquarium and Cheshire oaks.
Back to the cottage the beds were very comfortable and there were fresh eggs and breakfast in the fridge, thank you for this Rachel. On the Saturday morning Grant even took our kids to feed the chickens.
If there is a slight niggle the WiFi didn't work that well but we weren't relying on this and you can use 4g if you need a signal. Bring some dvds as well if you want to watch something on a nighttime however it does have freeview.
Overall we had a great weekend, couldn't have asked for anything else. The cottage is perfect for families or a romantic getaway. Thank you to Rachel and Grant

gemütliches Cottage auf einem Bauernhof
wir haben uns in dem gemütlich eingerichteten Haus sehr wohl gefühlt. Im Untergeschoß befanden sich ein gemütliches Wohnzimmer und eine gut ausgestattete Küche mit Esstisch. Im Obergeschoß waren ein Bad und die Schlafzimmer mit bequemen Betten. Vielen Dank für das nette Willkommenspaket aus Eiern, Milch und hausgemachter Marmelade, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
