Step into history with a stay at this rare and character-filled Grade II listed windmill, a truly unique four-storey retreat believed to date back to 1610\. Accessed via a private driveway, this three-bedroom property is brimming with period features, including curved walls, exposed beams, and a striking cast iron mill shaft set on a timber frame in the main bedroom. Step inside to a stylish kitchen with granite surfaces, exposed brickwork, and a casual breakfast bar—the only dining arrangement within the windmill—ideal for relaxed meals. A utility room and toilet complete the ground floor. On the first floor, the sitting room features a glazed floor panel overlooking the kitchen below, original timber beams, and a small balcony with views of the grounds. Moving up to the second floor, you’ll find two double bedrooms and a shared shower room, while the master suite crowns the third floor with comfort, character, and show-stopping views. It offers a Juliet balcony, panoramic views, and an open-plan en-suite, all beneath the original framework that once supported the sails.   
  
As you might expect, this over 300-year-old windmill includes numerous steps, many of which are spiral and open-tread—a feature that adds to its charm but may require extra care. Outside, a public footpath runs through the grounds for those looking to explore the countryside. A popular restaurant and pub are within walking distance, while the nearby village of Saughall offers shops and local amenities. The historic city of Chester is just 5 miles away, home to the Racecourse, Chester Zoo, and an excellent dining and shopping scene. Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet and access to North Wales are also close by, offering day trips, walks, and family attractions.
