This is an absolutely amazing property. Travelling with our adult children, we had 3 ‘4 poster’ rooms in the old part of the hotel - each uniquely decorated with great charm. Very comfortable and quiet, can highly recommended.

Great welcoming staff. Quiet for a weekend. Staff at the Brasserie and Spa really friendly and helpful. Some areas of the hotel a bit tired but overall lovely.

Property is excellent, very historical. Had feature room which was lovely and had great facilities (inc wine and beer in room). Food wasn’t great, we explained to staff who were very apologetic. Roads leading to hotel are full of pot holes and in desperate need of resurfacing. Staff were very friendly and helpful

Nice hotel, good location, slight attention req'd
We arrived earlier than check in time but the receptionist was lovely and gave us 2 rooms there and then. We had a ground floor room as we had a dog, the room was dated and the voile curtain was slightly mouldy at the bottom but our daughters room was far better on the 1st floor. We had lunch in the Brasserie, unfortunately, it really wasn't very good. We used the spa and had treatments, this was very clean and lovely. Breakfast was very busy as expected but fine overall. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. Close to some very lovely old inns which allow dogs.
