"Oh, wow! Kinda felt like we were in a Vrbo ad… The house is a beautifully renovated old home just across from the water, and a couple hundred yards from the beach. Beds were luxurious, bookcases of interesting books. The neighbourhood is of older, well looked after houses on a quiet cul de sac on the ocean. Couldn’t be better."

It lacked a number of things that make life comfortable such as curtains (we were up with the sun), a place to unpack or even put a suitcase other than the floor, end tables and reading lamps, microwave etc. To be fair there was no microwave listed so it's on me that I didn't notice. "I loved staying on the peaceful outskirts of Lunenburg with a water view. This beautifully decorated gem of a cottage is super clean, comfortable and perfectly outfitted. Joan met and oriented me and provided the support to find my way to the best beaches, restaurants, trails etc. for my stay. She is the great balance of helpful and respectful. The area is gorgeous and I want to return!"

"Very warm welcome. Wonderful site, with a great view on the lake. Huge terrace, well appointed: sunbeds, BBQ, table for the meal, and veranda to protect us from the bad weather and mosquitoes. Well-equipped kitchen. The only drawback: the last part of the unpaved access road to the house, very damaged and difficult for a berline."

"We recently had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful property for 2 weeks in late April 2024. Our goal was to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet. The weather was fantastic, don't be afraid to visit in April, the days were sunny and cool, and when it rained the house was a sanctuary, with a wood stove and 360 degree windows to enjoy the view of the ocean, sunset and sunrise unobstructed by other properties. Some wonderful meals in Lunenberg (the Beach Pea was awesome!) and Mahone Bay (Oh my Cod!). An amazing family vacation with lots to see and do in the area."

"LOVED our stay at this home. Beautiful large rooms with a clean and uncluttered design, yet having a historical vibe to all that this house must have experienced. The modern kitchen is gorgeous. The large bedroom upstairs had a GREAT mattress and the upstairs bathroom was wonderful, shower and claw footed bath tub with two vanities and LOTS of space--with a washer and dryer in the upstairs bath, just the most convenient place.
