The cottage was immaculately clean and exceeded our expectations from the moment we walked in the door. There was even a homemade snickerdoodle bar awaiting us on the kitchen table. Everything is in top shape on the inside with a guest book that provides great details on TV use and washing machine operation. Kitchen is well supplied - should you want to cook, but the cabin location is within walking distance of Hazelwood and downtown Waynesville. The bed was very comfortable for a good nights sleep. After we ventured out each day we came back and got cozy by the fireplace. Our host were very kind and even left us a plate of cookies to enjoy. The outside design, with the breezeway in the middle, allows for a quiet and peaceful stay. The inside is warm and welcoming - including delicious homemade cookies - with everything you will need. The full kitchen is well appointed with a nice table to enjoy meals. The living area has a comfortable couch for TV viewing or relaxing in front of the fireplace. The bed was very comfortable. There is also a good sized dresser and bed side tables. A nice, roomy bathroom includes the washer and dryer. We highly recommend the Brookside Cottages if you are looking for a lovely, very clean and comfortable place. It’s convenient to downtown, grocery stores, and restaurants. We will definitely return.
