At 3200 feet you can see miles of layering Mountain Views. At Valley View you really have access to it all. There are lots of options for dining, shopping, breweries, hiking, kayaking, biking and sight seeing. Alas, if you just want to sit back, relax, unplug, take some time off, soak in the hot tub, sit around the fire pit and make s’mores, and breath in deeply the fresh mountain air, we’ve got you covered. Our cabin is quiet, secluded and will be the perfect respite for you and your family. We have a game room loft with a pool table, a fire pit to circle around at night, rocking chairs to chill in and take in the view on the front deck, an authentic Bier Garten picnic table for outdoor dining on the side deck and a hot tub on the lower level with a view to soak away and release your daily tensions. We also have DVDs and a DVD player for movie time as well as board games and puzzles for family bonding. Our cabin is specifically designed to be a place of relaxation. A place to get away from it all. To unplug and spend quality time bonding with friends and family. A place to move at a slower, more quiet pace. Therefore, we purposely do not have internet at the cabin. There is cell service available\* if you need to look something up or get directions online. (\*depending on your carrier, AT&T and Verizon has good service here) NOTICE: Please be advised that this amazing view means you have to travel a good ways up a mountain road to get there. Our road is at times steep and narrow and is only paved 1/3 of the way. It is not meant for vehicles with trailers nor should you come here on your motorcycle. 4 wheel drive is recommended. Please know that the ride up may be a challenge for drivers not experienced with mountain driving on a gravel road. The drive is worth it, but if you are not comfortable with the thought of steep, narrow, dirt roads then perhaps a cabin at lower elevation would be more suitable for your needs and expectations. GPS is fairly reliable and can get you close but we’ve posted many Valley View signs and give specific directions to get you to our little private piece of heaven. Trust us the View and our quiet cozy cabin is worth it! Firewood for the fire pit is not provided, but can be purchased at Lowe's in Sylva or several locations in Bryson City. Most gas stations in this area sell firewood. We are located in a subdivision called Indian Trails. It is situated inside Cherokee lands. When driving up our road you will see a sign that says Private Property Indian Trails subdivision. It was a great place to just unwind from the hustle and bustle of life and just enjoy some family time and an incredible view! The cabin is very warm and inviting.The beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed the gas fireplace on the chilly mornings and evenings. The location was close to great hiking trails. The hot tub was a welcomed way to relax after a full day of hiking. The only thing I would warn others about would be the drive up to the cabin would be difficult in a two wheel drive pick up truck due to being so light on the back end and spinning in the gravel. The inside of the cabin was also beautiful and very comfortable. The bed we slept in was very comfortable. We also enjoyed the fireplace which we kept going the entire time. The cabin was beautiful and well maintained and the wrap around deck offered breathtaking views of the mountains (wine at night, coffee in the morning). Very easy to communicate with the host who always had more than prompt replies. I will absolutely book this place for future travels in the area. ##### Heather P. Drive up to the cabin was a little scary, but Andrew provided precise directions, minimizing surprises. When we had questions, Andrew responded very promptly. Short drive to the smoky mountains. Easy access to SmokyMountain NP, Bryson City, Sylva and Cherokee. Cabin was very nice and well stocked with the amenities we needed. Made daily trips to area attractions, including Smoky Mountains NP for hikes, sight seeing and wildlife viewing. Especially enjoyed seeing elk in the park. Driving up and down the road to the cabin from Whittier requires focus and we usually planned to be make the trip during daylight hours. View from the cabin is fantastic, ##### Lee Ann R. The drive up is windy but so worth it for the amazing and astounding views. We witnessed some of the best sunrises we have ever seen there! Close to many great adventures, Deep Creek Trail, the Smokey mt railroad, the Great Smokey Mountains National Park, and more. We even made the trip to the Biltmore in Asheville and back. Everything was clean as can be, directions and accommodations were all above our expectations. Wonderful place to stay and unplug and take in all the area has to offer! We’ve loved every trip. Central to area towns we enjoy visiting such as Bryson City, Sylva, Dillsboro, Franklin, to name a few. The house itself is perfect for us.
