Had a very lovely stay, however waterslides close randomly. Maintenance guy came in when slides were closed to turn on the kiddie pool jets and dump bucket. very nice.

Area around hot tub was gross- an old bandaid, garbage, and plastic bottle tops along edge. The large water slides are only open Friday and Saturday nights-we did not see that when booking on the site (or it wasn’t obvious). I had two very disappointed kids!! When we got into our “clean” room, there was a half open bottle of sprite left in our fridge along with one missing pillow on the bed??? Was our room really cleaned? In addition, I forgot to add our dog to the initial reservation. That was my fault. I told the receptionist (Gary) at check-in. He told me that all the “dog rooms” were taken and he charged me an additional fee of $55 bc I had to use a “non-dog” room. I walked my dog numerous times and didn’t see/hear another dog!! Especially on a random Wednesday night. He didn’t even try to look for a different room and just grabbed the paper/room keys that were left behind the desk under my name. Annoyed and frustrated is an understatement.

Staff was super friendly. Fast checkin. Kids loved the pool and water slides. I guess the slides are only open Friday and Saturday evenings 4-9pm but the pool hours for swimming or hot tub use is open from 6am to about 10pm I believe and our family really appreciated those long pool hours. Property is a bit dated would be my only complaint.

Was not out in the room I ordered. I was switched to a smaller room that had a tub the room was dirty the hallways were filthy the breakfast was disgusting and and filthy to the point we couldn’t even bring ourselves to eat it! Even the fresh fruit had mold on it. They blamed the room mix up on Expedia . Honestly I would never stay there again and I don’t think I would book through Expedia again if I can’t get what I payed more for

The rooms were not clean. One of our rooms had hair throughout the bathroom. There was no service during the day that made beds etc. the staff was nice enough. It was disappointing

The staff are friendly and accommodating. Overall facility seems clean, although the carpet in our room felt like it could use a good cleaning. The door locks in and out of the side doors are a little wonky-one wouldn't let you in from outside and one wouldn't let you out from inside. Would definitely return.

My husband and I really loved our 2 night stay. The room was clean, quiet and very comfortable. The outside area for our room was amazing with incredible views. The breakfast was good, we loved the strawberries and whip cream for the waffles and my husband loves biscuits and gravy. The older gentlemen that checked us in was so nice as well as the gal at checkout. We had the pool area to ourselves so it was very relaxing. We can't wait to stay there again some day.

Great hotel in a great location
I was a bit skeptical because of the reviews on here, but this was a good hotel and great for the price point. There is an indoor water park which looked like it would be great for kids. Hotel is on the waterfront which has nice views.

Location Pictures are Misleading
Our family traveled to Ashland for a getaway. (Monday through Wednesday) We booked this hotel specifically because the online pictures showed the hotel had a pool with waterslides. Once we arrived we learned the waterslides only ran on Fridays and Saturdays. The kids were bummed. Outside of the misleading photos of the hotel pool, the hotel was clean and sufficient.

Nice hotel with many unique features - a beach on Lake Superior! Kid’s’ life jackets, inner tubes, silly homemade yard games. Lovely room. Only issue - the upholstered chairs each had a worn corner, which exposed a sharp wire, or staple, which snagged clothing when opening/closing drapes. Oh, and the top dresser drawer was not very clean.

We had a room looking out at the lake which was amazing. The check in lady wasn’t very happy. Lol. She wasn’t rude or anything but didn’t say anything about break. Or where it was located but only said this “your room is easier to get to from the end” and handed me the room keys. Seems weird is all.

Not bad - dont recommend jet tub room.
Rooms are out of date. The room appeared to be clean, however - the smell of that room seems like they don't have appropriate ventilation in order to have a jet tub in there. Smelled like mildew.
