Nice people and known them for 8 yrs
Property is little older but hospitality and staff are very helpful and greatly recommend this for families and couples

The base drum noise from the ground floor made me sleepless till midnight and such noise certainly affects the brain and nervous system of the guests. This must be at once remedied.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The service apartment type rooms with utensils, spacious rooms was good.
What I did not like was there was no place for my driver to take a shower. Most other hotels of this standard have these facilities for the drivers.

Nice hotel but staff/service was awful
Somerset was in a great location and was convenient to access restaurants and sightseeing. Room was very comfortable. One of things that irked me during my stay was they wouldn't provide me an extra room key even though its 2 guests in the room. Mind you, the key they provide needs to be used for power and if one person has to go down to grab something the other person has to stay in the room with no lights and AC. Elevators are also need your room key to get in to the floor. I had to argue and fill out an additional form to get an extra key. Management should be cognizant about this as this was a major inconvenience to the guests.Normally, hotels provide with 2 keys if there are 2 guests. Phone in our room did not work and even after complaining no one came to check on it. Staff was not responsive to any of our needs. Room was comfortable and very spacious.

First class service. Absolutely faultless. Could not be more polite and helpful. Hotel has a hidden gem with the cheese restaurant which I recommend the cheese calamari? Sounds strange but tasted great. All the restaurant staff and security top notch will definitely be back.

Stayed for 4 nights. Apartment was excellent, grear faciliities and the staff were extremely helpful. It's very rare that I can't find a serious fault, but on this occasion I can't. Gym was great as well, good running machines and well maintained. Food in the restaurant downstairs was superb as well... chicken tikka masala was to die for! I just came to chill out and see a bit of Madras.. don't think Madras would draw me back - but the apartments just might!

The property was nice the only inconvenience that I had was that I found several cockroaches in the room. I informed the staff and they sent someone to spray. The following day again I found another cockroache in the bathroom. Also, I found a tick on my bed cover, I informed the reception staff and they apologized but I don't recall them sending someone to check the room and disinfect or check for more ticks.

Beautiful hotel. Great view even from lower floors. Was much nicer than we were expecting. A washer/dryer in the room! Large room, comfy bed. Great restaurants. Rooftop pool was stunning. Fitness center top notch. Used it twice in our 2.5 day stay. Transportation from hotel to airport is about 2000 rupees. But hotel suggested getting our own taxi - they arranged it for us. It was less than 500 rupees. We really appreciated that. Great deal.

Very good facility. The rooms are spacious and have all facilities. The best feature is their in-house restaurant and coffee house which serves guests 24x7. Breakfast is included and you have good choice of food.

The staff in the property were excellent and the service exceptional. The only problem, which appears not to have been fixed, despite repeated feedback, is the smell of stale food as you enter the breakfast area. This is because of poor ventilation and it is right next to the kitchen. The smell is off-putting. The breakfast area is a bit cramped.

As always a very consistent and standard level of service from this hotel. Location is fairly central but the quality of the units which are studio or one bed room apartments is very good value. Apartments are equipped with all amenities and the front desk staff are very courteous and helpful

Whilst the Somerset is great for the long stay business people, you are a little limited by the food choices. The breakfast was formulaic and unimaginative and the quality of the fruits especially was ok. A good meal can be had at the Leela around the corner from the Somerset but a decent meal with drinks will set you back around Rs.5000 easily!
