Like: Location walkable into town and the rock carvings. On a large plot running down to the sea and huge pool. Cottage was spacious with view over golf course to the sea. Staff friendly and helpful. Large comfortable bed. Dislike: Sunbeds need renewing. 2 of stairs into pool broken. Litter not cleared away.No chairs/ sun beds on the beach and unfinished buildings next to the beach. Resort needs some TLC which may have started as lobby area being renovated.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Though the resort is on the beach the waters could be rough but the pool at the resort is absolutely hugh so it was like swimming at a beach. Close to the beach meant one could take quiet walks on the beach. Resort is just near Five Rathas and energetic tourists can walk to most of the sites as traffic is horrendous and grid locked. Amenities are great, rooms modern, clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet is fantastic. Great choice of menu food day round. Buffet dinner at reasonable cost is fantastic. Staff, especially Kumar at the reception desk, was very helpful and attentive to guests needs. Room service is prompt. Kumar also organised transport for us to get to the airport. All in all wonderful, relaxing experience amongst bustling Mahabalipuram! Lovely quiet gardens to wander around as well.

Superb place, will visit again

If you want to enjoy a resort with private beach and loads of peace, this is the place to be. It is beautiful and scenic, an old resort but enjoyed every day. The food at the restaurant and hospitality is superb

We stayed for four days. On Day 1, we were in room number 317, and the next day, we moved to room 316. The AC was noisy, the TV and intercom were not working, and the floor tiles in room 316 were broken. Additionally, the doors were in bad condition, and we found torn towels.

I am not sure if I would rate this hotel 4 stars. The room we got didn’t have a phone, the bathroom not renovated , the towels were dirty. The hotel itself might benefit from an overall new paint & renovation. The value for room wasn’t worth it

This is my second time stay here, last time it was bad - this time it was worst. I booked it because there was no other hotel that was available in that area. In the night it rained heavily and water was splashing inside the room from through the window. The curtains were broken. The staff were nice but this is hotel is overpriced for what it offers. The staff though nice, did not know clean practices, they were using no gloves when then were preparing food for breakfast in the buffet area. Please do something to Feedback the hotel or rate them as 1 star hotel.

Der Pool ist in einem schrecklichen Zustand. Fliesen sind locker oder fehlen. Das Wasser stinkt. Die Stufen zum herauskommen waren am letzten Tag gesperrt, weil sie nicht mehr vorhandenen waren. Die Liegen am Pool sind am auflösen und zerfallen. Bei einer Liege war der Schaumstoff frei, nur mit einer Art grünem dreckigem Bettlaken oder Bezug bezogen, andere Liegen waren am zusammen fallen. Die Umgebung und der Strand waren schön. In der Nähe der Küche scheint die Kläranlage oder die Abwassergrube zu sein. Es hat schrecklich und unerträglich gestunken. Das Essen ist mittelmäßig. 2 Tage zuvor wurde eine neue Menükarte gegeben, wovon nur 2 Exemplare zur Verfügung standen. Das Bestellte wurde zur Häfte nur geliefert, der Chefkoch selbst kannte die neue Menükarte nicht. Das Personal untereinander weiß nicht was der Andere macht. Einer rannte hinter uns her wegen Essen bezahlen, welches schon bezahlt war. Die Unterkunft selbst ist schön. Kissenbezug hatte Löcher, das Bad braucht eine Renovierung, vieles hängt nur noch halb. Die Dusche wird manchmal nicht richtig warm. Es gibt eine Aussendusche , was cool ist aber verbesserungswürdig. Die Klimaanlage ist megalaut und es geht nicht ohne. Fenster mit Moskitonetz wäre gut. Luftzirkulation ist schlecht. Der Strom fällt ständig aus. An einem Tag war das Wasser abgestellt für 30 min, ohne dass jemand bescheid gesagt hätte. Überall auf dem Gelände sind Bauarbeiten. Für den Preis die Nacht zu heruntergekommen.

The guests wore masks but the staff in the restaurant didn’t. The check-in was confusing but quick. When we ordered food in the restaurant they took more than an hour to bring the food and brought the wrong dish. So we went outside the resort to have our meals after the first day. I will most certainly avoid this resort in the future.

Worst stay.

The stay has been the worst. We were shifted to another room stating electrical fault and after we shifted the same room was allotted to someone else. The néw rooms ACs were not working. Till late 11:00 PM hotel couldn’t find a remote for the ACs. The room being closed didn’t have windows so that fresh air could come. The hotel staff didn’t have any technician to mend the AC. We were forced to sleep in hot and humid situation. It was the worst experience and worst holiday. The support staff are useless and unsupportive.

Worth spending time with family to relax, enjoy

Stay was comfortable, service by the staff was friendly and quick. The resort is well-maintained, and it has good outdoor and indoor games and children play area. Had a good time with family. Has a private access to beach and well maintained large swimming pool (but no separate kids pool area). Is close to many monuments which are a must visit for anyone coming to Mahabalipuram.

Great property but over priced

Great property however not value for money. Basic sports facility and mini bar items were way too high. A pack of Rd 10 chips was charged as Rd. 185 in the mini bar. We also found the room tariff higher than usual, if I compare it with similar other 5 star properties like Radisson Boy, etc. The service of the staff was great and the staff members were extremely welcoming.

The hotel needs a refresh of paint and new bathrooms (it looks shabby in some places), but the pool is spectacular and the staff are really nice. Restaurant is great too...

Best hotel in the area

The hotel is slightly outside Mahabalipuram but within walking distance of main attractions, which is actually a good point. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. One has to assess this hotel keeping in mind it does not compete with international standards we know in Occident. For the local standards it is close to a palace. However rooms might need a bit of refresh, especially bathroom. The food served in the hotel is extortionately expensive compare to local prices but it remains affordable, it is very good, fresh and above all, safe for our fragile European stomachs. The hotel has an amazing swimming pool, clean but also in need of a bit of refurbishment. There is a nice bar close to the shore, the beach is not great out there but that's the same all along that cost. We spend a week as a family with small children and we have nothing to complain about, again, the staff kindness is the best part of this place.
