We were happy with our stay overall. The room looks a bit outdated, but it’s well maintained and clean. Comparing to other Chinese local chain hotels, the quality of the room and service is much better, especially the breakfast, it had many varieties for both Chinese and Western styles, very good breakfast! The location is great, just right by the subway entrance. The 3 stars for the service is for the front desk staffs. The hotel is comfortable, affordable, clean, and quiet, making it an excellent choice for both business and leisure travelers. One of the standout features of this hotel is its strategic location. Situated right in the city center, it's conveniently close to numerous food and drink shops, offering a wide variety of dining options within walking distance. This made it incredibly easy to explore the local cuisine and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Chengdu. The rooms are well-maintained and provide a restful environment after a long day of sightseeing or work. Despite being centrally located, the hotel manages to maintain a peaceful ambiance, ensuring a good night's sleep. However, there was a minor inconvenience during our stay. Upon arrival, no staff member came to assist with our luggage. While this did not significantly impact our overall experience, it was a small letdown in terms of service. In summary, Holiday Inn Chengdu offers a comfortable and clean stay at an affordable price, with an unbeatable location in the heart of the city.
