It was rated 4 Star, I would give it a 4.75 while the daily rate was 2 Star-$60 per night for this hotel was a bargain. I was pleasantly surprised when the manager left me a small gift and flowers on my birthday, that was the icing on the cake. I may go back to Chengdu just to stay at this hotel and feel 'special'. The hotel was not very far from a lot of the places that we visited, so it was convenient and inexpensive to call a cab from there. The staff are very acommodating and are used to catering to both Chinese and Westerners alike (although some of the staff speak better English than others). Because of the demographic of people staying in the hotel, the hotel's breakfast is both excellent and varied, with everything from traditional Chinese breakfast porridge to bacon and eggs. The rooms themselves are clean and the staff will work with you. We accidentally booked two smoking rooms and they immediately changed us to two non-smoking rooms after we called them about it.
