May 30, 2025 #### Dog friendly stay Millers cottage was an absolute delight. Very comfortable and ideal for a relaxing break. The garden was lovely getting, the sun for most of the day. Location is great. 2 dog friendly pubs serving really good food within a few minutes easy walk. Also some lovely cafes also dog friendly. The parking space provided was very close. Things to note, and definitely not criticism, TV reception is poor but there is a great library of DVDs for guests to enjoy. Lovely selection of books and games also. The steps up to the garden could be a little challenging but they are not as steep as they appear in the photos. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. ##### Miranda L. ### 10/10 Excellent #### Kathryn E. Miller's Cottage was the perfect base for our Cotswolds trip. It's perfectly situated in the centre of Winchcombe, so we could explore the town and surrounding areas easily. The cottage itself was very well equipped with all necessary amenities + cosy interiors. Having a designated parking spot was another lovely perk. ### 8/10 Good #### Diane Y. If you have a dog the garden is NOT secure! Missing fence panels - mentioned in previous review. Kitchen bin dirty - mentioned in previous review. Crockery needed washing again. I personally cleaned the dishwasher filter as full of food. Bedrooms/Bathroom clean and tidy. Very comfy beds. Would have been nice to have hand towels provided. Really enjoyed our stay but annoying that things mentioned in previous reviews have not been addressed. ##### Debbie W. Aug 30, 2023 #### A great position in the Cotswolds for touring around. A traditional cottage in a beautiful market town. Lovely pubs and shops in walking distance. Very useful parking space. Sadly disappointed by the state of the garden and the lack of kitchen equipment. ##### Louise B. The lock on the front door when you are in the cottage was very difficult to unlock and had a lot of trouble getting out each morning, this definitely needs sorting out. Also would have been great to have been left with some cleaning products for the bathroom and kitchen, and more than one tea towel. Other than these few things, we had a great holiday. Great location and great walking routes! We also got engaged so an extra special place for us now. Would definitely return. One thing we did not have and had to go and get was hand soap for both upstairs bathroom and kitchen sink. The back garden steps are very steep and in the rain slippy as is the grass, we had a dog with us so would have been good to have and out side light for when it was dark. Had to use our phone torches to let dog out. Otherwise had everything we needed. Thanks for a fab stay! Beds comfortable, nice large bathroom with separate shower, good size kitchen, and generally a nice stay. Only a few niggles that could be easily sorted. The lounge rug needed a good hoover. We know it's a pet friendly property but there was quite a lot of dog hairs on it. The shower needed descaling around the glass edges outside and also the fixed shower head. The cupboard/wardrobe in the front bedroom could not be used for clothes because it was full of untidy bags of bed linen and other things. Sadly it meant I could not unpack. A small chest of drawers put in behind the double doors with hanging space above would resolve this problem. Despite the few niggles we did enjoy our stay and the cottage was full of character and traditional features. Oct 13, 2023 #### Nice cotatge but disappointing The cottage is in a lovely small town and was close to everywhere that we wanted to go. The kitchen was poorly equipped in terms of utensils and cookware. There were some impressively large cobwebs which had clearly been there for some time given the amount of dust on them. The hand shower had lost most of its chrome (unravelled) s didn't function properly and the main shower head was quite mouldy. The Sky remote had been replaced with a generic, all purpose one which didn't work & so we eventually worked out how to make the Sky box work using the manual controls. This was essential as the TV couldn't pick up a signal. The radio didn't work either. Given the cost, we would have expected better. The bed was very comfortable though. ##### Mark D. Mar 27, 2025 #### Millers Cottage I thought that the cottage was tired and the garden ( missing fence panels ) could of done with a bit of TLC . Although not your issue looking out through the dining area window the mess of the neighbour was disappointing. Having said all of the above I would be tempted to stay again . ##### steve f. The old cliche home away from home.would recommend it as a dog friendly haven for all visitors
