Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you're prepared. We've compiled a list of top travel tips that will get your Iksan vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be easy if you pack the right things. First of all you'll need toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a clean pair of socks and something to read. Secondly, leave space in your hand luggage for your mobile phone, a charger, any daily medications and perhaps a neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to take your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of restricted items differs between airlines, the general rule to follow is avoid carrying anything sharp, flammable or explosive. This includes screwdrivers, knives, aerosol cans and bleaching agents. Sports equipment like baseball bats, and items that could injure passengers, such as firearms and swords, aren't allowed in the cabin either.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your priority is to be as comfortable as you can. Go for flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural-fibre clothing and don't forget to take a pullover in case you get cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some simple exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
