The owners are very nice people and live next door. The property is along the river and the house is very quiet and tucked away. We really liked that we could drive 10-15 minutes to go do something touristy in Chattanooga or the Lookout Mountain area and then come back to the peace and quiet of the river house. My son was delighted with fishing off the dock. By the second or third day, I was really enjoying drinking my tea in the morning while looking out the window and watching the river go by. We would definitely go back again. It was just the three of us, but a larger family could stay here comfortably. The almost 100 year old family homestead was clean and nicely decorated. Our hosts Delon and Laura were very friendly. Beautiful views of the river and mountains. Lots of birds. Yet it remains a "home" with front yard picket fence, large shady trees, overlooking beautiful views of the river and mountains. Laura and Delon were very kind and helpful hosts, living next door in his grandparents home place. Although they were close by, they were very respectful of our privacy. Extended family stayed in another rental a half mile from us and we all enjoyed a wonderful time together - 4 generations within our group and 3 generations in our extended family group. Several enjoyed fishing, with a few nice sized bass and catfish, also some bream. Thoroughly enjoyed our time together - just too short! Thanks for such a nice place to stay.
