Benthall House - sleeps 8 guests in 4 bedrooms

Benthall House is situated in an enviable position on Harbour Road in Beadnell and it is a 4 bedroomed detached house with fantastic views over the sea. Just a minutes walk from the amazing Beadnell Bay, Benthall House is a wonderful place to stay to discover the Northumberland Coastline and all it has to offer.

The Lounge is located upstairs and stretches from the front to the back of the house. At one end of the lounge there are patio doors which lead out onto a balcony where you can enjoy the sea views. There are 2 double bedrooms (1 en-suite),a twin bedroom and a family bathroom also on the first floor.

On the ground floor there is a double bedroom with built in wardrobes. At the back of the house you will find a large kitchen diner with an electric range cooker and seating for 8, leading on from the kitchen/diner there is a sun room with relaxing seating and views out onto the garden.

The sun room leads out into the enclosed garden with seating for outside dining on the raised patio.

There is ample parking at the front of the house and a garage which is ideal for storage of bikes, canoes etc.

Benthall House is within walking distance to the village shop and to the two pubs in the village - both allow dogs.

Plenty of space

Lovely spacious house in a great location. We were 4 couples staying for 3 nights and had 4 cars but parking not a problem. 3 bathrooms was a definite advantages though the ensuite was very small.Good storage and plenty of kitchen equipment but we did eat out at the local Craster Arms Pub and got take away Fish and Chips from the Beadnell Towers Hotel. No complaints at all. One evening it got quite chilly but a phone call to the owners quickly resulted in the heating being turned up.

Great stay

Family all had a lovely relaxing holiday and would Definitely stay at Benthall house again. Only two minutes walk from beach, great Sea views from balcony, overall lovely house in an ideal location.

Perfect spot for a dog-friendly getaway

We only spent 4 nights here - could easily have been longer as the house was really well set up to accommodate 4 adults, 4 kids and 2 dogs. Plenty of space and seating options and really welcoming for humans and pets with plenty of thoughtful touches and very well supplied for self catering. Our car broke down en route but a delicious cake and cuppa in the welcome pack reduced the stress levels! It was so easy to have the dogs with us too thanks to the fenced garden and utility that backed onto it. Great location - a short walk to Beadnell beach and easy reach of village shop & pubs. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic stay

Have just come back from a fabulous stay at Benthall Farm. Property was lovely and so dog friendly it put us all at ease oh and welcome gifts were a livrly surprise. The location and view is amazing and the dogs loved the beach. Thank you for a great stay.

Great Location

Great house for an away from it all extended family. Big enough so that the youngsters can have their space, great location right next to the sea, well stocked shop for all your essentials and a great pub for fine ales and food.

Wonderful holiday home

The house is in an amazing location with a little bay right opposite and the beach 5 mins walk away. The views are glorious. A spacious drive way for parking and a brilliant size for the 8 of us. We had elderly parents who were delighted with a downstairs bedroom. Two sitting rooms (one upstairs and a conservatory) meant loads of space for the kids to watch a film and grandparents to still have somewhere to sit in peace. The kitchen was brilliant,with everything we needed to cook for 8 people. We have absolutely no complaints. Loved it.

Beautiful location & ideal for a large family and your dog

As a family of 7 plus our dog Cilla we stayed in this house for a long weekend for a family wedding at a local venue. The facilities in the house were perfect for such large group and their bathroom needs (3 couples plus a 13 year old) and there was plenty of room for us to spread out and relax in our own space or all sit together for some family banter. The location is stunning being just a short walk to miles of sandy beach and just a 6 mile trip to the wedding venue (£23 in a taxi - AA Taxi's is the best local firm). The house is well equipped for the dog and the owner was very hospitable and very quick to respond to our queries. The house was also clean when we arrived and the little extras went down a treat.

A wonderful stay in a beautiful place.

The house was perfectly placed for touring this gorgeous coastline. The house suited us all - grandparents, two children and a dog- everyone was happy. The house was well equipped and a super home away from home. We’d definitely love to go back.

The house is excellent for a group/family stay. Very comfortable and very well equipped with plenty of room for everyone. Its location is perfect for walks, cycling and playing on the beach. The owner pays attention to detail which gives your stay a special feel. We would not hesitate to book the property again.

Magical Xmas Stay at Benthall

This is our 2nd Xmas stay at Benthall House & everything was as good if not better than our last visit . Amazing welcome pack on arrival - homemade sponge cake - local chocolate - sparkling wine - white wine - lovely treats for the dog etc . House immaculately clean & all decorated for Xmas with 2 trees - lots of lights & plenty of decorations- amazing & so thoughtful. Weather was fantastic- sun most days - no rain at all which meant we had fabulous walks on Beadnell beach and along to the Craster Arms & Saltwater Cafe both dog friendly & highly recommended. Also book a table at the Potted Lobster in Bamburgh for a special celebration again dog friendly with excellent selection of mainly seafood which was faultless. Sam & family are great hosts and thoroughly deserve the awards they have received . Outstanding accommodation- see you again - Keith / Julie / Rob / Caroline & Lily the Cocker Spaniel - Magical Xmas

Great home in great location

This was our second stay at Benthall House. Sam is a great host and the house is very comfortable and well appointed. A lovely and fully equipped kitchen and table make cooking and eating as a group a pleasure. Walks from the door along the coast, north to Bamburgh and south to Craster, make for some good outdoors experiences. We highly recommend a stay here and hope to be back ourselves in the future.

Very good everything you needed for a great holiday

Everyone enjoyed the holiday, the house was close to beach and lovely sea views from the balcony. Every thing you needed and space for all the family. We all had a great time visiting Seahouses, Amble. Brilliant walks along the beach to Low Newton.

Best Beadnell trip yet

This was our 4th summer at Beadnell and our second at Benthall. We have already booked Benthall for next year as it offers a high standard of accommodation with attention to the little things which may your stay easy - like an abundant supply of dishwash washer tablets, cushions for outside furniture, hand wash and a welcome pack to get you started including home made cake, milk, wine, chocolate and yummy treats for our two greyhounds. You get lots of space, three bathrooms, fully enclosed garden, easy parking for three maybe four cars, washing machine and dryer. Great view even when it's raining. And best of all super dog friendly. Difficult to think of anything to make it better.

Lovely well equipped home

Beadnell House is a beautiful, comfortable, well equipped home ideal for families and pets with a secure garden. There is adequate parking for 4 vehicles and within 5 minutes walk to the lovely beach. The upstairs balcony was lovely to sit on in an evening just listening to the sea. Upon arrival we were greeted by the owners who left 2 bottles of wine and a beautiful cake as well as treats for the dogs. One member of our party is disabled and had no problems whatsoever with there being a downstairs bedroom and bathroom. This was our 3rd stay in Beadnell, but our 1st at Benthall House, we have already booked this home again for next year!

Great House, Great Location

Well maintained spacious house, immaculately clean and well equipped. 2 minutes from the harbour and huge sandy beach. The wine, chocolate and the dog treats were unexpected, thanks. Party of 7 aged from 17 to 73 plus some 4 legged friends had a great relaxing stay. Small shop up the road for almost anything including the morning paper and the local hostelry 15 minutes walk serving great food and great beer! What more could you want? We had wall to wall blue skies for our whole stay, if we'd known the weather was always like this in Northumberland we'd have visited sooner!! Thanks for a fabulous visit, great communication no issues at all. We will be back

Lovely big house very close to the beach at Beadnell.

All the family enjoyed their stay at this house. The rooms were clean and tidy plus we enjoyed the wine and cake which the host left for us. We were close to Seahouses and Craster so we could enjoy some coastal walks.

Would recommend to anyone - first class.

Great first impression - spacious, wonderfully clean and tidy and well equipped with cake and wine as a finishing touch. Property is close to local amenities - grocers, off licence and pub and with easy travelling distance of all tourist attractions. Were made to feel very welcome with a personal visit at the outset to explain the workings of the house. Would recommend to anyone.

Lovely house, Perfect Location

The house is very well kept and had everything we needed and more. Great communication from the owners who were there to welcome us in when we arrived. They even left some treats for us to enjoy during our stay! It was fantastic to be so close to the beach and only a short drive to lots of places for trips out. I would love to stay here again and would definitely recommend it!

Early May Beadnell

The house was a large spacious one, very well equipped. Good sized rooms and a pleasant welcome of home made cake and wine and a sweet note from the owner. We were very comfotable in the house all week. The owner was easy to contact and was very obliging. We did have a little issue. 1.We had a problem with one of the ovens which sent copious amounts of smoke into the kitchen. The second oven was great so no major problem. 2. The windows in the sunlounge were very dusty which was a shame. We did not know Northumberland and just loved the area. What a wonderful coast line. We enjoyed thr bird watching nd hope go return to the area one day.

Can't recommend highly enough

Lovely house with seaview

This is a modern spacious house. We parked 3 cars & there was space for more. There were 7 of us but no sense of the house feeling full. From the garden room off the large kitchen/diner to the upstairs lounge with it's balcony & seaview, the house had a feeling of space so everyone could spread out & relax. The house is very well equipped even down to things to make it easier to have your dogs with you. The location is excellent with the small harbour & beach are only a short walk away.

OUR TWICE YEARLY HOLIDAY DELIGHT !!!

I would rather not say too much as I do not want you all booking up this wonderful property!! It simply has everything any person would want and we now consider it to be our second home.For the animal lovers amongst you BOTH the front and rear gardens are secure.The property is kept in an immaculate state and the incredible sandy beach is only a couple of hundred metres away.Nothing else to say really except do not book up OUR WEEKS-we want them to ourself-Brian
