Nice home in beautiful and convenient area
Overall, this property is located very near wonderful attractions in a beautiful part of the Cape. A playground is walking/biking distance as is the railroad museum and a diner. You can also easily bike to the down town area and one beach. We highly recommend the location.
The home itself is largely as pictured. There are some more dated features as well as some recently updated, but also a good deal of wear and tear that would benefit from repairs. The only AC is in the bedrooms which was generally sufficient for the first floor, but would benefit from a larger unit or additional window unites on the 2nd floor. It was quite warm on hot days - especially when checking in as all window units had been off for some time. Despite this, the house did grow on us and become more comfortable over our stay there.
The set-up of the home works well for groups/families in the sense that there's space for everyone. It isn't an open floor plan, but nice that everyone can find space and be comfortable.
The kitchen was very well equipped (spices and some shelf stable condiments, liquid soap and sponges, pots, pans, two refrigerators, etc.).
We appreciated having garage access to store our bikes and beach toys. They had some chairs, beach mats and a frisbee or two as well.
I struggled a bit with working through a real estate office as opposed to the owners directly although this seems to be quite common, maybe necessary (?) for the area. The office was nice, but not always knowledgeable about the units, set-up and things included or provided. We've rented quite a few units through VRBO and other such sites and seem to most enjoy renting directly from an owner as well as key less entry for check in directly at the unit. This might just be a personal preference. The real estate office does give you a bag with various paper products upon check in and wasn't too fr a drive from the unit.
