We are pet friendly for trained, smaller animals that will have plenty of space to run in our well maintained, fenced in yard. Location is the key! Less than a 1 hour trip to one of our most northern points in the Upper Pennisula. Ojibwa Casino is 20 min. away and also less than 20 min. drive to MTU and from our Historical Hancock/Houghton Portage Canal Lift Bridge! One of a kind in the world! The location was perfect—close enough to explore sites on the Keeweenaw Peninsula, and Kim shared some great locations to see, which made our trip even more memorable. One of the biggest highlights for us was being able to bring our two dogs—our big 80-pound pup and our little beagle. They absolutely loved the fenced-in area to play, and Kim even went out of her way to bring over treats and a ball for them. That thoughtful touch meant so much.The cabin itself was stocked with everything we could need—coffee, ice, water, condiments, and more—which made us feel right at home. There was even a washer and dryer available, which we didn’t need, but it was nice to know it was there.Kim was such a gracious and helpful host, checking in and making sure we were comfortable from the moment we arrived and throughout our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. My issue would be with the electrical situation. Extension cords with multiple outlets are every where. I would be concerned about an electrical fire. It was unbeatable for the price and served nicely as a base of exploration. It’s about a 12 mile driving into Houghton and we were a little surprised at the remoteness of the property. But if you are looking for a scenic, peaceful experience, this is it. ##### Errol D. Kim is very friendly, love the fresh eggs from her chickens. Kim thought of everything one might need but forgot to pack. We didn't use the sauna, but that looked nice as well.
