We were on a month long road trip, and spent 2 nights. The property with it's history is quite interesting, and the host was quite attentive to our needs, Located within walking distance to restaurants, it is an ideal location. The breakfast served goes way beyond expectations. I predict you won't be disappointed with your stay,

Excellent
This was such a unique experience, not like any regular hotel. Staying at the Shipwright feels like experiencing a part of history. The place is also very well kept, clean, and good breakfast. Wifi is also very fast, better than most similarly priced hotels. Would definitely recommend, and would return here.

Very unique space.... Antiques and neat shipping themed artifacts around the house to check out. Comfy sitting rooms, awesome staff. Good breakfast served each morning. Loved the coffee or tea all day and cookies available in the evening.

We stayed in the flat which was perfect fir our needs as it had cooking facilities and plenty of room. Darlene and Jason were excellent hosts.

Tha room was very comfortable and clean. Very easy Check in and courteous service The breakfast was a nice change ....Breakfast burrito The grounds were very well kept Overall a great place to stay. I would go back for sure

Dorian be damned!
Stayed for 5 nights. Very comfortable room. Had great breakfast each morning. Location was excellent-very handy for walking to the old downtown and waterfront area. Jason and staff were friendly, warm hosts. Stayed during hurricane and Jason and his staff didn’t miss a beat! Power out for 12 hours but breakfast was warm, tasty and ready to go at 8am! Highly recommend!

We stayed on the second floor suite and while the main bedroom had air conditioning,the rest of the area did not, and it was quite warm for our teenagers. Otherwise everything was great!

Wonderful stay!
James just became the new owner but you wouldn't know it. Everything ran smoothly. Staff was excellent and very helpful. This place is like a little museum wlth the decor so check these items out along with James's travel map. The room was very comfortable and had a nice fireplace insert. The bathroom is smaller but was perfect for me. Breakfast was great. Easy walk to town so I just left my car there.

Huge room with kitchen, livingroom, bathroom and bedroom. Everything you need is provided. Only drawback is that breakfast is from 8 to 9 which isn't really convenient. That's quite late. Could be 7 to 9

Quaint and cozy Inn
We got there super late but the day before we got an email from the innkeeper with instructions on how to get in. It was super cool! Our room with all its historical artifacts, was super comfortable. The staff there were really friendly and even recommended places that were a must see. I’d definitely go back!
