The Hotel on Pownal
10/10 Excellent
"The Hotel in Pownal is one of the best accommodations we have stayed in on our cross-Canada road trip. It is clean, warm (ambience and staff), comfortable, pet-friendly (treats, a toy and poo bags!), and offers a really good breakfast with china dishes--not the disposable plates, cutlery, etc. that we've encountered elsewhere. A lovely touch is the complimentary glass of wine or beer during the hotel's daily happy hour for guests. Onsite parking is provided at no charge, and there is a free charging station for guests with EVs. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again, should we return to Charlottetown."

"Absolutely beautiful and unique property. The rooms are lovely - but the lobby is such a great, warm area to spend some time. Sometimes second visits don’t live up to the first - not the case here. It was just as well-maintained and comfortable as our first visit!"

"The location of this property is great for those wanting to explore downtown and easy to get out and about other places . Wonderful staff, so friendly and helpful. The building was absolutely spotless with many thoughtful details like water filling stations, coffee in the lobby, and snack machines. Excellent breakfast everyday for free. Would highly recommend"

"It seems as though when renovated the washroom was equipped with a not to tall toilet. This can be and is trouble some to the older generation especially when no grab bars are included Unfortunately this is not unique to your hotel and seems to be the case in others also."
