Experience “top of the mountain” living and enjoy the spectacular views in this spacious and updated 5 bedroom, 4.5 bath townhome that comfortably sleeps 14\. Our home is clean, updated, and located close to the slopes, trails, and restaurants. The owners have paid special attention to details offering a full kitchen with all you need to feed a houseful. Additionally, the decor has been specially selected and chosen with your moutain top experience in mind! The main level has a large living space with vaulted ceilings, fireplace, and floor to ceiling windows that provide beautiful views of the Shenandoah Valley. The fully stocked and updated kitchen includes a stove, microwave, dishwasher, full size fridge, Keurig and regular coffee pot, and enough dishes, utensils, and cooking wares for a full house. Dining area comfortably seats 8, while the kitchen bar and stools provide additional seating. With 5 bedrooms there is room for everyone! The top level holds a bedroom with a queen bed and a twin bed and a full, private bathroom. The 3rd level includes a queen bedroom as well as an additional bedroom with four (4) bunk beds, both of which share a full hall bathroom. The 3rd level also hosts a very comfortable King suite which includes a large private bathroom with jetted tub and a private balcony, perfect for relaxing. Another King master bedroom is located on the 4th floor, offering privacy and a quiet space. Mattresses were selected for comfort and the bedding designed for warmth. Enjoy year round area festivals and welcoming community farmer's market in the warmer months. Visit breweries, cideries including Blue Toad, Bold Rock, and Bryant Cidery, spirits tastings at new Silverback distillery, the county's first Whiskey Distillery, and local wineries for wine tastings. For casual dining we love Blue Mountain Brewery, and Brewing Tree. We love to sit by the fire at The Devil's Backbone and drink one of their craft beverages or enjoy delicious food while listening to live entertainment at The Edge . Numerous award-winning vineyards are within minutes of our home – some of our favorites are Blenheim (Dave Matthews’ vineyard), Veritas, and King Family. Wintergreen in the summer? YESSSSSSS! Wintergreen is a four-season resort offering ziplining, summer tubing, a golf course (bottom of the mountain), miles of hiking trails and Lake Monocan, a 20-acre lake and park is located at Stoney Creek. Lake Monacan bosts canoes, kayaks, fishing equipment, sand volleyball court, sandy beach, lounge chairs, picnic area and outdoor charcoal grills. (Some fees apply) Lake Monocan is open Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day. Please check the website for current hours of operation. Wintergreen’s more than 30 miles of marked hiking trails are developed and maintained by The Nature Foundation at Wintergreen which offers guided hikes every Saturday and Wednesday in summer. She ensured all of our questions were answered and she delivered on the details. She provided timely updates, a new roasting pan, and was able to have firewood delivered for our stay during the Thanksgiving Holiday. Thanks to Jenneane, our family enjoyed warm and cozy evenings in front of a fire with Smores enjoyed by all! This home is beautiful, well stocked and well cared for. The view from the family room was inspiring, both morning and night. We have been spending Thanksgiving in Wintergreen for eight years, and this was by far our best rental. The location is close to all WG amenities. Jenneane & Bryant had eight guest passes available for our use, yet procured four more upon request. They truly cared about prioritizing our needs. The house floor plan was ideal for our three families. There was plenty of room to spread out in the house, yet spend QT together on the main floor. We had three families with six adults and five children. The girls, ages 8-11, loved the new bunkbeds, while the boys, ages 13-15, loved the fourth floor bedroom that became "The Lair". Overall, having the bedrooms on different levels of the home made for a more enjoyable experience. I love reading the reviews from other travelers, yet hope this review inspires you to spend time in Wintergreen at the Snyder’s home. For as many people as we were this townhouse was extremely spacious and had plenty comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. It was in walking distance to the tennis courts which were a bonus. Five adults, 2 17 year old boys, and 4 kids under 13\. The house was a great location and quick trip to get to the slopes (maybe a three minute ride). We were able to ski all morning and then head back to make lunch and rest before heading back out to night skiing. The owners were wonderful and the communication was great. We got notes prior to our stay on things we would need and quick responses to questions. The house was a great size, which allowed everyone to have their own space (teenagers had their own floor, kids had their own floor and adults were able to enjoy the living area with a fire and great view). Wonderful layout, and plenty of bedrooms and baths for three families, which included three children. Built fires two days in a row. Bitter cold weekend, over Christmas.
