The neighborhood is very quiet and hidden, but also right in downtown Matthews so it was easy to get to places quickly. The house is small, but perfect for a family of 5\. They provided a good selection of kitchen items and while many dishes were still dirty when we arrived(the only 4 star rating), the house as a whole was very clean. As soon as I booked it I tried to cancel it because of all the extra fees I didn’t realize. But since it was non refundable I was forced to pay extra fees after I booked it. so for one night it was an extra for insurance than extra for pets. The kitchen was nice. The bedrooms and bathrooms were like a 2-3 star hotel cleanliness. Idk I guess I just had high expectations cause it was so expensive. I was able to walk into Mathews for food and coffee. The host was very responsive to last-minute needs. The place was clean and well-equipped, except missing a spatula for the frying pan, which the host had sent several over right away. This is a somewhat quirky house, as many of these are, with ample closets in one room but not in the master bedroom, but we enjoyed cooking and dining with family.
