We have have always enjoyed our visits and planned to return each year. This year I had a print out from 6 months ago when I booked our stay. I did not see there would be RING cameras monitoring our stay in real time. We invited friends who live locally to come by. The following day the Host messaged that the owner sent a payment request for a pet fee. Someone viewing us on RING cam saw my friend arrive with her small dog. I informed the Host we were returning guests hoping the fee would be waived if there was no damage and we cleaned. That was not an option! I paid the fee. After we got home, we decided even though it is a beautiful place, we won't be returning another time as there are many dog friendly rentals to stay on Lake Norman with a much less expensive pet fee. ##### Geneva S.
