Lovely safe, walkable neighborhood in the heart of NODA, with easy private parking at the home, 2 smart TV's, and all the amenities you need for a great trip!Host was was impressively responsive, and ensured all need were met in a timely manor, and went above and beyond with accomodations too.Clean (duplex) house, and while on the smaller size, was bigger than expected, nicely decorated, with a spacious bed (and a second one for guests) and an enclosed porch. Freezer doesn't have an ice maker, but no biggie, and everything worked well and was quiet. The house was not clean when we arrived — the floors were so dirty that walking without shoes left our feet black. There was dust under the beds, empty bottles, a broken porch table, and even used bandages left behind. The sheets smelled musty (even after the host dropped off replacements), the couch was broken, and the toilet literally leans when you sit on it, like it’s sinking through the floor.To make matters worse, the washing machine didn’t work, there was no cleaning equipment for us to use, and the TV remote barely functioned, making it frustrating to watch anything. The listing also felt misleading, as it looked like one of the newer townhouses nearby, but it’s actually a very old home in rough shape.The one bright spot was the location — walking distance to everything in NoDa. And while the host, Erik, was polite and did offer to send the cleaning crew back and drop off supplies, the overall state of the property made for a very unpleasant stay. Negatives were, the house wasn't cleaned properly (dirty bath rugs, knives, sponges) and despite the pictures, was not as nice as I thought it would be (e.g. sliding door was slanted and hard/noisy to use). My boyfriend and I shared this space for the weekend and it’s just like the pictures! Parking is right on the side of the house and it’s pretty quiet until you go to Noda, which is practically walking distance. Very clean, decorated nicely, and there are two beds in the same room. The layout is pretty spacious as well. The hosts are very sweet, have excellent communication, and are helpful with making accommodations and providing some fun things to do during your stay.
