Please request no later than 72 hours before check-in to arrange visit. The heater is set at 80°F (as widely recommended by professionals and online for comfortable swimming). Please note that water can take 1-2 days to warm up depending on the outdoor weather conditions. Pool Maintenance: We provide chemical leveling and cleanup once or twice a week according to the season and most likely before your arrival. During your stay, you may need to skim/rake the pool to keep it enjoyable. Tree leaves and other natural elements may fall into the pool and it could require netting out. Guest Responsibility: Guests are responsible for basic pool upkeep during their stay if they wish to use the pool. Pool Addendum: May need to be signed within 24 hours of confirmed reservation. Pool Safety: Host is not responsible for the safety of guests/visitors during pool activities. Use at your own risk. \- Any guest in reservation MUST verify identity with the platform or host within a time manner. No access will be granted and no refunds or exceptions if ID is not recognize. We take serious to identify the person who is actually staying in our home and like any person/hotel we need to confirm who is staying in. • All guests are liable for any and all damage to the home and common areas, including legal fees. \- A refundable deposit might be require at booking \- Illegal drugs are not permitted on our property. \- Smoking cannabis is not permitted on the premises. \- No smoking of any kind inside our home – guests will be charged a $250 fine per day of staying plus the cost to remove smoke from the unit. \- Guests must treat our home with respect please keep the place tidy. We do a thorough cleaning, but guests should generally pick up after themselves and not leave an excessive mess or garbage lying around. Place all used dishes in the dishwasher. Turn on the dishwasher before checking out. The dishwasher detergent is in the cabinets. \- Counters and cooktop must be wiped down after cooking and clean on checkout. \- Do not use metal utensils on the pots, pans or frying pans. \- Please remove all footwear at the door of our house. \- Smelly garbage must be disposed of in the garbage (adjacent near garage bins are available outside) before the smell fills my home. \- Do not use towels to clean up blood, dirt or any other unsanitary messes. Please use paper towel found in the kitchen instead. \- All makeup must be removed before using the pillows. Removal of makeup from the linens is very difficult and time-consuming. \- Laundry detergent is provided to guests to complete any necessary laundry. Leave the washing machine door slightly open when finished. Remember to empty the lint trap at the front of the dryer before and after every use. \- Fireplace is only decorative. DONOT intend to turn on. We have never used it. Damages will be fully guest responsibility. \- Candles are only to be used in the rare event of a power outage. They are decorative elements and not for regular guest use as they pose a significant fire hazard. \- Late check-outs and early check-ins are challenging since the listing might be booked back to back. Depending on the circumstance, fees for an early check-in and/or late check-out may range from $50 up to fully cost of the nightly rate of the reservation, and that will not grant you the night. \- For your security and ours cameras are on but are not constantly monitored; they are located ring main door, back parking, back swimming pool and pool shed equipment. Fee summary: We take our VRBO business and these rules very seriously. We do this to ensure the next guest will receive the unit in the same immaculate condition as you did. Pool area was HUGE disappointment While the interior of the home was comfortable and clean, it was far from LUXE. as described. The remodeling that was nice, and beds were comfy, but since king bed frame was on floor, my guests and I changed sleeping arrangements to accommodate my disability. Not ideal for older guests.I gave a poor rating due to the pool area. My friends and I chose to pay more for a Mon-Fri rental here so we could have the private pool.(1600 for Mon-Friday after taxes and mandatory insurance) Unfortunately, the pool was dirty, the lawn and plants overgrown and bees, insects and ants were a constant concern. While I don't have the luxury of owning a pool, my guest does, and her time in the pool was limited to only a few hours due to her concerns with the cleanliness. The owner did respond when I reached out when we checked in and said he'd send a pool guy to the house on Tuesday, which did help. The pool was brushed and treated. However, the promise made to send a pool guy again on Wed to vacuum in the deepest part of the pool, didn't happen. After I reached out to the owner after our stay, he said the weather in area prevented that from happening. (Turns out owner was the "pool guy" that was sent)The photos shared when we booked were not a true representation of the pool area. After I reached out to the owner after our stay, I see he updated the photos. I wish the property owners success BUT, I honestly feel a trip to Great Wolf lodge would have been more comfortable. ![Pool no longer has diving board and lawn overgrown. Everything was clean and in order. After exploring the property, we could not find the hot tub that was listed. I contacted the owner and received a sarcastic response and then for some reason they shared the private booking and personal contact information of a previous renter. We had a really nice stay though up until the last night when we got locked out. It was Christmas night and raining. The property has an electronic keypad that was disabled for some reason. We called and texted multiple time and didn’t get an answer until the next morning. We called VRBO and they tried calling to no avail. There were no emergency measures in place in case this happened. The next morning we received a text message, from the property owner, letting us know that there was a lockbox with a key. This information should have been given to VRBO in case of emergency. We ended up having to find a hotel room for the night which made things extremely stressful the next morning. Once we heard from the owner, we only had two hours to get back to the house, pack up all our things, and get our family on the road because we had an event to get back to. Excuses were made insinuating that maybe we had messed with the modem (which we had not). We didn’t even know where the modem was. We were reimbursed the nightly rate with no additional concessions for the couple of hours that we spent in the rain and the cold, trying to sort this out. ##### Katie G. No dressers in rooms, no where to put clothes. Limited hangers. We are all over 65 years of age and all dishes were in all bottom cabinets. No upper cabinets, was a little strange. Don’t get me wrong, it's a very nice home, just no set up for older people. Younger couples with kids would be perfect. We came from West Coast, and found a note in one of the drawers that if we gave the house a low raiting that I would be removed from being able to rent home again. Unbelievable, I wouldn't anyway. The owner seened to be very nice, so I was very surprised to fine that note. I took a picture of it. I house is nice but could use a few upgrades that I mentioned. It's was very clean and located in a nice quiet neighborhood. We loved the private pool and the beds were very comfortable. My sons almost loved the basketball hoop. Kitchen had everything we need. We would definitely stay here again when we in Charlotte. The owner was understanding and was very responsive to our needs. ##### Thu W.
