Safe place for women traveling alone
I came in for a wedding, the bed in the zinnia room was firm but comfortable. Plenty of pillows. Had a ceiling fan which I always sleep with, cookies down stairs. Bathroom was big and clean with a makeup removal towel. Hot water and great water pressure. Host made a great breakfast and the bacon was my favorite. Quiet and private. Much better and safer than a hotel. Very friendly, comfortable and clean. Definitely will be coming back.

I'm afraid Joanne was reviewing some other VRBO property. We have very detailed instructions in the room describing the operation of the TV and neither of the hosts at this property are named Terri.

This place was very nice! Loved the flower theme and our room was very comfortable. Our hosts couldn’t have been nicer and they made a great breakfast! Staying here was a nice enhancement to our Charlevoix trip.

We highly recommend the Sunflower Inn. The owners are very organized, super hosts in our opinion. Everything was top notch, along with a beautiful home in a great location. The delicious breakfast was a great way to top off a perfect place to stay! Will definitely come again!

The perfect spot
We truly enjoyed our stay at the at The Sunflower Inn. The room was clean and comfortable — probably the best night of sleep I’ve had away from home in a long time. It was our first time staying at a B&B and it was such a treat to wake up each morning to the smell of bacon cooking. Breakfast was delicious and conversation with our hosts & the other guests was a great way to start the day. It’s a great place to stay in general, but especially great if you’re in town for a wedding at Castle Farms — only a short drive away & you don’t have to worry about getting stuck at the drawbridge. My only complaint is the room we stayed in did not have a bathroom attached, so we had to go downstairs. When we make a return visit (and we plan to!), we’ll probably book a different room.

Thank you for the kind words regarding your stay at our Sunflower Inn. With regard to the bathroom, we are very clear in all descriptions of our Zinnia Room explaining that the bathroom is located separate from the bedroom. The Property Details on VRBO include: “The Zinnia Room is located on the 2nd floor with a full, private bathroom located at the bottom of the stairs on the 1st floor." In consideration of this inconvenience our Zinnia Room does rent for less than our En-suite rooms. We apologize that you were not aware of this configuration. We very much enjoyed being able to host your visit to Charlevoix and hope that you are able to return in the future.

Great Choice for a Weekend Visit

Such a cute and inviting b&b!!!
This was our first time staying at a bed & breakfast. My husband and I stayed here for the weekend for a wedding in East Jordan. Our experience was incredible! The location was so close to everything. Our room was super cozy. The breakfast was amazing. John & Lynda were both such angels. It truthfully felt like staying with family! We will absolutely return.

Anniversary Getaway
Staying at the sunflower Inn was nothing short of perfect. Clean and fresh room, superb cooked breakfast, fresh coffee at all times and wonderful owners. Fresh cookies during the day really hit the spot. We had great conversation with the owners. Close to the beach and sheer quietness in the evenings. A bon fire was a perfect end to a busy day. We shall return!

Great weekend
We had a fabulous stay at the Sunflower Inn. Our room was clean and comfortable. The location is walking distance to downtown Charlevoix John and Lynda were great hosts. The breakfast each morning was delicious. We had one situation with the air conditioner tubing, and John quickly responded and fixed the situation. We would certainly stay again and recommend it to friends heading to the area.
