The suite is an efficiency suite - essentially one room- with a large covered deck overlooking the Marina and Round Lake. The big sliding glass doors open out on the deck-bringing the outside in and greatly increasing the living space. Staying at the Sunrise Suite you'll have easy access to restaurants, galleries, boutiques, East Park and its concerts, and more. The Suite has a high ceiling and you can watch the sunrise from the swivel chairs in front of the sliding doors or outside on the deck. The deck also has a Foreman grill for grilling out. Aa everyone else mentioned, the suite backs up to a bakery, but if you keep the bathroom door closed, the smell won’t fill the suite. Amazing location with a gorgeous view. We loved the huge patio and outdoor furniture for relaxing. The property was the perfect size for us, extremely clean with great amenities. The owner and property manager were fabulous and very helpful. The convenience to downtown Charlevoix was perfect - morning coffee just around the corner, great shopping, and plenty of restaurants and wine bar within walking distance. It is small but fine for the 2 of us. You are right on Round Lake and in the heart of downtown. All the stores and restaurants are steps away. The unit has everything you need to be comfortable and the balcony is spacious and comfortable. Being on the second floor gives you a great view and keeps you above the traffic down below. The view is fabulous and watching the Beaver Island ferry and all the other boats come and go can keep you busy all day long. ##### Rosemary A. We really enjoyed the location and the decor. The view from the deck was great. We appreciated Joan letting us bring our two small dogs. The linens were soft and smelled fresh. The bed was comfortable, but a little too soft and did not lay flat at the top. Parking was two blocks away. There were a pair of shorts and a dirty rug on the countertop in the kitchen with a note on them. This was the first thing we saw when we walked in. There was a huge basket of linens right by the door with a crumpled sheet on the top. We don’t know if they were clean or dirty and they were in the way the whole time. The amenities listed in the description included coffee. There was only expired cold brew and expired sugar and tea in the cabinet. We enjoyed the deck but the loud restaraunt staff to the left of us was pretty loud and annoying. A different restaraunt is at the back of the unit and the staff arrives very early and begins cooking and baking right away. I like the smell of baking bread but not at 5:45 am when I’m trying to sleep in. We could hear them clanking pans around and talking also. Some of the dishes in the cabinet were dirty and the area rug really needs to be shampooed. We did not like the second security camera that was aimed right at the sitting area on the deck. I can understand the need for one to monitor the door but I felt like my privacy was invaded with the second one. The fire table needed gas. ##### Mary Y. We were right in the middle of all the activity with everything in walking distance. The weather was great which made the deck with its beautiful views of the harbor, our living room for the week. Yes, it is small, but we actually thought it was much bigger than the pictures show, and we were completely comfortable the two of us with our two dogs. The best part is the huge deck that I swear is almost as big as the apartment! I spent a lot of time out there reading and even napping :) The apartment was easy to check into and was equipped with everything you need. The location is also fabulous both being on the water as well as within a few steps to get to many shops, restaurants, and bars. We would absolutely stay here again! ##### Nicole S. Outdoor patio experience was interrupted by noisy & crude restaurant workers taking their break outside right next door. This place may be small but was perfect for my dog and I (well almost perfect...the air conditioner was out and a temporary one was placed even before I got there, but could not open the doors to the patio, which was a bummer during the cooler afternoons. Even despite that the stay was very comfortable as well as the bed. The patio you can't beat! All the amenities you needed were there. You are right downtown and everything is in walking distance. One thing I will note that I didn't realize, parking is not right on site. It is about 2 blocks away but a short walk across the main/busy street. I would absolutely stay here again if it was just me or one other person. ##### Tina J. There is just the two of us so we are happy with a small space but a giant view from the deck. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need. The space is beautifully decorated and the quartz counter tops are striking. The furniture is very comfortable and the Murphy bed is simple to use. The deck is like having an additional room. it is on the second floor with a beautiful view of Round Lake and the harbor. The comings and goings of the Beaver Island Ferry provide never ending entertainment. The location of the unit is perfect for walking to restaurants and shopping. We stayed here with our 1 1/2 year old son for 5 days and it was amazing! I was a little concerned it would be too small but actually worked out great with a pack n play and the huge outdoor space to relax on after our son went to bed. The location was wonderful and close to everything so you could park your car and walk everywhere! We chose the place because of the location and the outdoor space overlooking the water. Since we were travelling with our son, we needed somewhere close to everything so we could easily stop back for nap time and also wanted a place with space outside so we could relax with a glass of wine after he went to bed. Since we were travelling in the fall, the fire pit was an awesome amenity to have! The place is decorated very cute and every little detail has been thought of. I even thought to myself when we arrived how I wished we brought a nightlight for our son and found there was one already plugged in in the bathroom!
